38. So This Is Legilimency

Hope and the golden trio had been walking through the forest for about ten minutes behind the half-wizard, half-giant known as Hagrid. Harry and the rest of the golden trio had met the wizard during their first year and have been close with him ever since. Hope, on the other hand, had just met him officially ten minutes ago when he asked them to follow him for a top-secret mission no one else could help him with.

"So yeh're the great Mikaelson I've bin hearin' 'bout?" Hope walked to the front of the golden trio until she was beside the half-giant and looked up sideways at him. "That's me. Have you heard of me, or is it all from Harry?" Hagrid looked sideways at her, clearly still concentrated on the current mission at hand.
The blood on his face had dried and stood out against his pale skin, which they still had no explanation about, during their walk. "Well, I heard abou' yeh from Harry, but I also heard 'bout yeh from the fores' animals." Hope looked on at where they were walking and nodded, wondering what he had meant but didn't care enough to ask.

She could hear Harry and the other two mumbling behind them, Ron being the one to ask rather loudly, "Any idea where he's taking us?" Hermione nodded her head, agreeing with him for once, but said nothing. Harry sighed and looked at Hagrid's back just as Hope was falling back to walk beside him instead of in front of him.
"Hagrid, why can't you just tell us?" Just as the four were walking in a line down a hill between various tree trunks they heard neighing in the distance. The five of them stopped between the large trees with Hagrid looking past the line of trees where what looked to be centaurs were galloping past them.

They were going quite quickly, which startled them all. "I've never seen the centaurs so riled." Hope looked over at Hagrid and wondered what they were normally like. Hagrid looked back at the four of them with a dazed look in his eyes, "An' they're dangerous at the bes' of times." He sighed, looking between them and the direction of where the centaurs had run off in. "The Ministry restricts their territory much more they're gonna have a full uprising on their hands."
Hope could hear the hooves of the centaurs still galloping in the distance with her enhanced hearing, and felt the gravity of the situation in the air. "Hagrid," the four others surrounding her looked at her as she concentrated on listening to their hooves moving against the forest ground, "what's going on?"

"I'm sorry to be so mysterious, yeh four. I- I wouldn't be bothering you at all with it, but... with Dumbledore gone..." Hagrid looked away from them nervously, looking down and fiddling with his fingers. "I'll likely be getting the sack any day now. And I just couldn't leave without telling someone about him."
Hope was the first to hear the footsteps approaching, causing her head to snap over to where she heard something moving. She hadn't even noticed before that they had stopped in the middle of a small clearing. The tribrid looked around before her eyes landed on a giant foot. Her eyes wandered up to the giant legs, body, arms, and hands.
