14. Repairing Ties Pt. 2Hope had left Draco that night with a new and delighted feeling in her chest. The two had come to an agreement of the sorts, and before she left he promised her would try harder. Try harder at what was her question. Would he be trying harder to get to know her? To walk next to her to class? She wondered what he meant by it, and only hoped for the best from his words.
Walking back from the library with her book bag hanging on her shoulder was pleasant as she like the silence around her. She enjoyed the feeling of being alone, and now that she had actual friends in her life, being alone wasn't her norm anymore. She enjoyed having friends.
As she neared the Gryffindor common room she heard voices walking toward her from down the hall, and when she looked up she saw Harry walking alongside Ron and Hermione.
Hope smiled at Hermione first, then Ron, and then lastly Harry. Hermione was the first to run toward her friend and lace her arm through hers. "How could you leave me alone with these two nimwits? It's absolutely lonely without you Hope."
The tribrid smile over at her friend who was a mere inch taller than her and shifted her eyes from hers to the green orbs staring lasers into the side of her face. She shrugged though, looking away from him altogether pulling her curly haired friend inside the common room.
"We're you with Apollo?"
A blush formed across the tribrid's cheeks, but no because of the way she said her new best friend's name, but because she thought about what she had done after being with Apollo. Walking into some secret hideout for Slytherin's and the few Ravenclaws deemed worthy of their presence. And now Hope was part of those very few, and said to be the first Gryffindor to ever step foot inside of the giant room.
"I was and then I was in the library with-"
She had completely forgotten the rivalry between the golden trio and Draco Malfoy. She paused mid sentence not knowing if she should continue or stay quiet. Harry hated Draco with almost every fiber in his body from the way the Slytherin would bully him, but nowadays he realized that Draco would just ignore him rather than bully him through his words. He had wondered why the sudden change in attitude, but as he walked closer to Hope and Hermione, his mind raced with the thought that the tribrid was spending time with him.
"Who? You must tell me!"
Hope sighed an awfully heavy sigh as she bit her lip with anticipation, "Draco..."
Hermione could be heard gasping, as well as Ron who had walked in their vicinity at the mention of that name. It was almost as bad as saying Voldemort to him. He hated Draco more than anyone else in the world, and Ron would not let Hope get dragged into his mess, even if he didn't particularly like her.
