"Megumi, you're bleeding again," you say as you quickly rush to Megumi's side. You grab his face to try and get a better look at the cut on his forehead, but he slaps your hand away.
"It's fine Y/N. Stop being so concerned about me," Megumi says as...
"Y/N, can I speak with you for a moment?" Your new teacher, Gojo Satoru, asks suddenly appearing at your desk. Your usual homeroom teacher had left a few days ago on maternity leave. Incidentally, Megumi stopped coming to class after she left as well.
You nod and follow Mr. Satoru out of the classroom as the other students begin to whisper amongst themselves.

Mr. Satoru is a bit on the eccentric side, most times managing to teach the class while he's blindfolded. Although nobody knows why considering he stated that he's not blind. Nobody in the school has even seen his eyes, but he already has a dedicated fanbase at the school.
Even the female teachers act weird around him.
However, you're a top student and have never gotten into any trouble. In knowing this, you have an idea about what this conversation will be about. You watch as Mr. Satoru closes the door behind him before turning to you.
"Y/N, I heard a rumour that you and Fushiguro used to go to the same middle school. Were the two of you close?" He asks you with a bright smile as you nod.
"Yeah, we were good friends back then," you say honestly as Mr. Satoru seems to chuckle under his breath. You don't know what's going on, but you've learnt not to try and make sense of what Mr. Satoru does.
"Wonderful, then would you mind doing me a favour? Fushiguro hasn't come to class in over a week, I'm concerned about him. Is there any way you can reach out and ask him to come to class," Mr. Satoru asks as you maintain a smile on your face.
"Sure thing, I'll try my best," you say confidently despite not knowing what's going through his head. For whatever reason, he seems to be avoiding you. You can't help but shake the feeling that something is up with him.
"Lovely, I expected nothing less from the star student. Good luck," Mr. Satoru says before you both head back inside the class.
After Class
You stand outside of a familiar house and take a deep breath. It's been years since you've been to Megumi's house, there's no telling if he even still lives here. You take one more breath before walking over to the front door and pressing the doorbell.
There's no turning back now.
You don't hear anyone moving inside, but suddenly the sounds of paws running towards you make you jump. You look to your side and see a large white dog running towards you. The dog has a strange red mark on its head and comes at you with its teeth showing.
This is bad.
You quickly put your hands up as the dog slowly approaches you. It still snarls at you but seems to calm down as you slowly crouch down to eye level with it.
"It's OK, I'm not gonna hurt you," you say as the dog's tail suddenly begins to wag playfully. You slowly close the distance between the two of you before hovering your hand over its head. The dog lifts its head to your hand before knocking you over and licking your face.
