"Oo let's go to that bakery next!" You say excitedly as Megumi trails behind you with his hands tucked into his pocket. However, several shopping bags are draped on each of his arms.

"Why did I agree to this again?" Megumi asks under his breath as you smile and look back at him. Even you're surprised that he decided to tag along. Megumi always hated the mall, but he even volunteered to hold your things too.

"It's been years since we hung out! Can't you look like your having at least a little fun?" you ask as Megumi stares at you blankly.

"This isn't exactly my idea of fun Y/N," Megumi says as you sigh and sit down at a nearby bench. Megumi places the bags down next to you as he stretches his arms. You're almost certain to anyone watching the two of you they'd think you were a couple.

"Well, what do you want to do then? Find some guys to beat up? That seems to be the only thing you like doing as of late," You say as Megumi raises an eyebrow at you.

"You do remember why I get into all those fights don't you?" Megumi asks as you nod.

"Yeah yeah, you don't like bad guys. You're not some kind of superhero though Megumi, one day you could get seriously hurt," you say looking up at Megumi who shrugs.

"Maybe, but then who would defend idiots like you who try to help people without being able to fight?" He asks as you bite down on your lip.

"I'm still sorry about that. Is your head alright?" You ask as Megumi looks away from your eyes and out at the crowd of people.

"I told you I'm fine. Just stop getting into situations you can't get yourself out of," Megumi says as you smile. As much as he tried to avoid and push you away before, it's clear that Megumi hasn't stopped caring for you.

"Do I have to? You looked cool when you swooped in to save me back then," you say playfully as you see Megumi's cheeks redden.

"Y/N, can you not say stuff like that so casually..." Megumi says lowly as you shake your head.

"Nope. You're really cool Megumi. A bit antisocial and aggressive, but cool," you say as Megumi's eyes suddenly grow serious.

"What happens if I'm not strong enough to protect you though?" He asks under his breath as you stand up and flick Megumi's forehead. He winces before rubbing his forehead as you smile brightly.

"You don't have to protect me all the time Megumi. I'll get stronger myself and protect you one day, I promise," you say as Megumi shakes his head.

"Yeah right, when that happens I'll buy you all the sweets you want,"

"Really?! Deal!" You say as Megumi rolls his eyes. You suddenly feel a strange presence somewhere around you that makes you freeze. You glance over at Megumi and realize that he's looking around as well.

Are you both feeling the same thing?

"Y/N, go home. There's something I have to take care of," Megumi says suddenly. You open your mouth to retaliate, however, the look in Megumi's eyes makes you hold your tongue.

"You can feel it too right? That sinister presence?" He asks as you nod.

"Yeah, it feels like there's some kind of dark presence around. I'm scared something bad will happen here soon," you say honestly as Megumi nods.

"I agree, which is why you need to go. I'll look into it,"

"But how will you know how to deal with it? We should let the police know," You say as Megumi quickly picks up your bags before handing them to you.
