Shattered: A Fushiguro Megumi FF

You feel your body slowly begin to wake up as your ears pick up the soft sounds of birds chirping outside. A gentle cool breeze blows through the room making you shiver a bit and turn to snuggle closer to Megumi who's laying next to you. However, you don't feel his body next to you. Your eyes peak open as the soft light from the sunrise pours into the room as you force yourself to sit upwards and search for your boyfriend's whereabouts.

"Babe?" You say in a hoarse morning voice as you rub your eyes to remove the sleep in them. You don't hear any response so you groan and slide out of bed while draping the sheets over yourself. You trudge through the room and make your way to the garden area but still see no sign of Megumi.

"Where the hell could he be? He doesn't even like waking up early," you mutter under your breath as you feel a sudden sharp pain in your stomach. The pain is so aggressive that you immediately stop walking around to clutch your stomach and crouch down while holding back tears.

It's at this moment that you remember the fact that you're now carrying another life inside of you, however, you feel a warm liquid begin to drip down your leg. Confused, you glance down and let out a gasp in horror as you see your groin area covered in blood.

"Huh?! No no no! Megumi! Babe!" you begin to scream hysterically as you throw off the blanket to the washroom to try and somehow figure out what's going on. However, as soon as you turn around you notice someone standing there and immediately clutch their legs tightly. Your face is covered with tears and snot but you try your best to form words.

"Babe I'm so sorry! I didn't know how to tell you but while I was taken I found out that I'm pregnant but now there's something wrong with the baby I don't know what to do..."

"Y/N," a familiar deep voice cuts you off, but it doesn't belong to Megumi. You slowly glance upwards to find Choso staring down at you with a cold expression. You quickly release his legs and lean back to get a good look at him, namely his hands that are covered in blood.

"Choso...what did you do?" you ask as Choso looks away from your eyes.

"I'm sorry Y/N, I had to."

"What the fuck do you mean you had to?! Had to do what?! Where's Megumi?!" You scream at Choso as he motions his head over to the bed where Megumi lies covered in blood. You feel a part of you snap as your brain can't decide whether you should, cry, scream, or just go numb.

"Megumi?" you mutter before rising to your feet and ignoring the stinging pain still tearing your insides apart. You shuffle over to Megumi's body and see a thin cut on his neck. You suddenly burst out laughing as you drop back to the floor and lift Megumi's head gently before resting it in your lap.

"No. You can't leave me now, I need you. No, no, no, no...." you continue to repeat the word 'no' as thick tears slide down your cheeks. You feel a hand touch your shoulder but you don't stop even as the person whispers.

"Now, we can be happy together,"

"Y/N baby look at me! Calm down!" Megumi yells as you snap out of your daze and frantically look around the room in shock. Your heart is slamming aggressively against your chest and you quickly note the lack of blood covering you or Megumi who's staring at you with eyes full of concern.

You're somehow sitting upwards now with Megumi holding your shoulders. It's still dark outside and you don't know what time it is but Megumi appears to be wide awake.

"Megumi?!" You scream as he throws his arms around you and pulls you into a tight comforting hug.

"It's alright Y/N, you're safe now. You're ok, it was just a nightmare," Megumi whispers softly in your ear as tears begin to streak down your cheeks. That was all a nightmare? Though just as quickly as it passed you feel the details of the nightmare threatening to fade away from your mind's eye.
