The Next Day

"Come on Y/N! Keep up! Since when are you so slow?" Kugisaki asks as you chuckle and pick up the pace a bit to match her stride. Even if you didn't have an *ahem* rough night, walking quickly with two arms full of shopping bags isn't helping.

"Since my boyfriend likes to wake up in the middle of the night and..."

"Ahh! I'm sorry I asked, shut up now! There are things I don't need to know about Fushiguro." Kugisaki says as you laugh. The two of you were assigned to a small mission not too far from Jujutsu Tech.

Megumi wasn't comfortable with the idea of you going out on your own so soon after the situation with his father, but the two of you quickly took care of the third-grade curse. It was easy keeping up with Kugisaki while fighting, however, the real challenge is trying to keep up while she runs around shopping.

"Speaking of Megumi, I've been wondering about something for a while." You start as Kugisaki slows a bit and gives you her attention.

"Hmm? Wondering about what?" She asks as you smirk mischievously.

"You and Itadori spend quite a bit of time together, don't you? Are you certain no feelings have developed there? He is super strong and can get pretty serious at times but is also so cute and dorky." You say playfully as Kugisaki glares at you and slowly pulls out her hammer. You had run the thought past Megumi before and you can still picture his horrified expression at the seemingly obvious potential.

"Huuuuuh?! Me and that idiot?! As if! I'm waaaayyyy out of his league." Kugisaki says flipping her hair dramatically as you roll your eyes.

"Right right, so that's why you blushed so hard when he left his room shirtless right?" You say as Kugisaki lifts her hammer threateningly at you while other pedestrians shoot the two of you concerned glances.

"I will use this Y/N!"

"Hey, you're the one who kept bugging me about getting some girl time. Be honest with me, I mean there's nothing wrong with you two being really good friends. Though I'm sure that Itadori would be too naive to assume anything more regardless." You say as Kugisaki stops walking and drops her bags down on a nearby bench as you do the same.

"Ugh Yuji is one of the biggest idiots I've ever met...but he's also pretty sweet sometimes..." Kugisaki mumbles under her breath as you try and fail to hold back a bright smile. Obviously, as Kugisaki's only female friend you want her to have someone that makes her just as happy as Megumi makes you feel.

"...even if I did have a tiny amount of feelings for him, he's still Sukuna's vessel. Them being a package deal is kinda complicated. What if he swaps out with Yuji and does something creepy, then again he only seems to care about Megumi reaching his ultimate potential or whatever." Kugisaki says while shuttering as you make a face. You...hadn't thought that far as to how to deal with Sukuna being involved too.

"Yeah, that does seem like something he'd do. Guess Itadori is really destined to die alone," you say jokingly before realizing what you had just said. In all regards, it's a miracle that Itadori is even still around. Though that's not to say that the elders and higher-ups are glad about that fact, they've just been silent for a while. That can't have anything to do with Toji and the cursed spirit right?

"Jeez Y/N dark enough joke?! We've gotten it delayed this long, though there's no telling what curse will come after him with some new wacky scheme to get Sukuna to take over. Though it didn't seem like Fushiguro's dad was interested much in Sukuna." Kugisaki says shifting the conversation as you nod surprised that she managed to unintentionally read your mind.
