Lina's POV
I can't believe it—I got to kiss Spencer Reid, it was like a dream come true. I love how gentle he was, and how he made me feel safe.
"Hey, um... Lina?" Spencer says, shaking me from my thoughts.
"Hm?" I answer, glancing over at him. We are in Spencer's car right now, driving back to my apartment.
"Did I do it right?" he questions.
I look at him in confusion. "Do what right?"
"T-t-the kiss." He blushes.
"Oh." I feel my face getting hot. "That was my first kiss... but I enjoyed it."
"Wait, that was your first kiss?" Spencer sounds surprised. "Same here."
"Really?" I glance at him. "I mean, I've dated guys before but I never felt comfortable enough to kiss or do anything with them. I guess that's why they all ended up cheating on me."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Spencer frowns. I nod and close my eyes to get some rest when suddenly, a thought flashed into my mind.
"Wait, Spence," I say.
"Yeah?"
"Earlier, you said that you like me too.... Why did you say 'too'?"
"Uhhh, about that." He taps his fingers on the steering wheel. "You see, when you visited me at the hospital, I was actually awake... and I heard everything you said to me."
"What?!?" I exclaim, feeling embarrassed. "W-why didn't you open your eyes or something?"
"I wanted to surprise you when you came in by like, scaring you. But before I could, you started talking about... you know." He turns red. "So that's why I said 'I like you, too.' I was referring to what you said to me."
"Well, thank God you feel the same way." I giggle. "Otherwise that would've been awkward for you." I smile at him and he laughs. For the rest of the ride, we drive in silence, enjoying each other's presence. A few minutes later, we arrive at my apartment and I step out of my car, getting ready to say goodbye.
"Bye, Lina. Have a good night." Spencer smiles. I open my mouth to say goodbye as well, but I don't want to. I don't want Spencer to leave yet.
"Spence, do you want to come up and watch a movie?" I ask hesitantly.
"Oh, a movie? Sure." He grins.
I smile, glad that I can spend some more time with him. I wait for him to shut off the engine and he steps out of the car. I can't help but stare at his face, the moonlight glow makes his perfect cheekbones and jawline even more prominent.
"C'mon." I hook my arm with his. We ride the elevator up to my place and I unlock the door. Instantly, Pumpkin comes running to me. I bend down and reach out my hand and he does the high five trick I taught him.
"I never knew you had a cat," Spencer remarks.
I scratch the top of Pumpkin's head. "This is Pumpkin."
"He's cute." Spencer giggles.
"Not as cute as you," I tease and kiss him on the cheek, making him turn bright red. "By the way, how did you know Pumpkin's a he? I didn't tell you yet."
"When he high fived you, he used his left paw. Male cats tend to use their left paw more, while females prefer using their right."
I laugh. "Well, there's another fact that I never knew."
"Is he friendly towards strangers?"
"Hmmm... only certain people." I put down my purse. "I know it's weird, but he can sense if the person is nice to me. Like he loved Phoebe, my friend that was killed." I shudder as I think about her tragic death. "But he was an ass to my ex-boyfriends."
