Lina's POV
As we start our hike up the mountain, Spencer keeps asking me what I whispered to Garcia and JJ. The truth is, I told them that I finally slept with Spencer.
"Just tell meeeee," Spencer whines.
I smile as I think about last night and how lovely it was. The way he held me in his arms made me feel so safe throughout the whole experience. "It's nothing, okayyy?"
He rolls his eyes and hugs my waist. "Alright, fine." We slowly make our way to the top, sweating and panting from the burning sun. After an hour, I'm ready to pass out.
"I'm so tired, I huff, nearly tripping over myself.
"Get on my back." Spencer kneels down in front of me.
"What?" I wipe away some sweat. "I'm fine," I lie to him. Honestly, my legs are still weak after last night.
"Stop lying," Spencer says, reading my mind. Then he smirks. " We both know that I did quite a number on you last night."
I blush and my jaw drops, but I quickly compose myself. "I can walk by myself." Taking another step, my legs give out and I start to fall backwards.
"Hey, hey! I got you!" Spencer places a firm hand on my back. In one swift move, he hauls me over his shoulders so I'm piggy back riding him.
"Thanks...." I rest my head on his shoulder, kissing his cheek. After 25 minutes, I can hear Spencer breathing heavily so I tell him to put me down.
"I think I'm gonna get heatstroke." He tumbles forward onto the ground. "Shit!" He holds his hand up in agony.
"Oh my, are you okay?" I ask, looking at his bleeding hand.
"Yeah, I accidentally cut it on something sharp," he pants. Luckily I packed a suture kit in my backpack, so we sit down on a big rock to get him stitched up.
"This is gonna sting, okay?" I say, pouring some rubbing alcohol over his wound.
"Shit," Spencer hisses in pain.
"I'm going to put on some numbing cream."
"I don't need it."
I raise an eyebrow. "Suit yourself." Taking the needle, I gently poke it through his cut and he whimpers. "Want some—"
"Yes, please."
I laugh and apply some numbing cream for him. After that, I start suturing. "If you want, we can just head back down."
He looks at me with a shocked expression. "No way. We're going to get to the top even if it kills us."
I roll my eyes. "When did you become so ambitious?" After I finish suturing, I wrap his hand and kiss the spot where he got cut. "There. All better."
"Thank you, Dr. Lina Reid," Spencer jokes, pulling me in for a sweaty hug.
I smile. I decided to change my last name to Reid, now that I'm married to Spencer. Scrunching my nose, I giggle. "You stink!"
He unbuttons his shirt and wraps my head in it. "How do you like that? Huh?"
I squirm around and laugh. "Ewww you're all sticky!" I push him away. "C'mon, Mr. Abs, if we want to reach the top we better move quickly."
He stands up and cocks his head in confusion. "Who's Mr. Abs?"
"You." I gesture towards his abdomen. "Someone's getting shredded."
He rolls his eyes and we continue our hike. Along the way, we take pictures of the scenery, or just any other cool plants and insects that we see. Just when we stop to eat our sandwiches, my cell phone rings.
