Spencer's POV

"Spence! Can you help me lift this one?" Lina shouts from the living room.

I wipe away a bead of sweat. "Yeah, coming!"

Today Lina and I are moving her clothes to my apartment, and I can't be more excited to have her live with me. It feels like we're moving onto the next step of our relationship.

"This one is really heavy." She puts a foot on a small cardboard box as I enter the living room.

I furrow my brows in confusion. "I've seen you lift heavier things at the gym."

She bends down and strains to pick the box up. "Please, Spence."

"Oh, alright." With a grunt I bend down and place two firm hands on either side of the box. "Let's see, based on my body weight and non-existent fitness level..." I do some calculations in my head. "I should be able to deadlift 144.8 pounds."

Lina rolls her eyes at me and laughs. "Just do it."

"Okay, okay." I take a deep breath and with a grunt I use all my strength to lift the box. It goes flying over my head and hits the wall behind me. "What the—"

Lina starts cackling. "Ha! There was nothing in the box."

"You...." I tackle her onto the couch and tickle her stomach.

She giggles with delight. "Stop it!"

I lift up her shirt and blow a raspberry on her tummy. "Say you're sorry!" I say in between blows.

"Okay, sorry! I'm sorry!" She squirms underneath me.

I flip her over so she's on top of me now. "Come on, let's finish packing."

"Not so fast, mister." She pushes my shirt up over my chest and grins devilishly before blowing a raspberry as well. "Now we're even."

I roll my eyes and peck her cheek before getting up. "Why do you always have to be so competitive?"

A few hours later, with the help of Morgan and Prentiss, we finish moving most of the boxes of clothes and shoes to my apartment.

"Thank you both for helping," I say, "I think we can handle the rest ourselves tomorrow."

"No problem at all." Morgan stretches his back. "I'm glad you two are moving in together."

"Yeah, we were surprised when Penelope told us," Prentiss adds, cracking her neck.

Lina furrows her brows. "Penelope? I only told JJ."

Morgan chuckles. "JJ told her and well, you know how Penelope can't keep a secret."

Lina shakes her head and grins. "I should've known."

"Well, I'm going to head back now," Prentiss says, "Sergio is waiting for me to feed him."

"You should bring him by next time to play with Pumpkin."

"I will." Prentiss waves. "See you guys!"

Morgan yawns. "I'm gonna head home as well."

After we say our goodbyes, Lina and I drive back to her apartment to spend the night, since my place is filled with boxes. By the time we arrive, it's already dark out. As I park my car and turn off the engine, it starts raining heavily.

"I love the rain," whispers Lina. The sound of water droplets hitting the car is so soothing. She closes her eyes and leans back, letting out a sigh.

I unbuckle her seatbelt, pulling her over the car console and onto my lap. She rests her head in the crook of my neck as I wrap my arms around her whole frame. We stay like that for a bit, not saying a word and just enjoying each other's presence.
