Spencer's POV
One week later.
"We're gonna fry in the sun!" I exclaim, wiggling my toes in the sand.
A few days ago, Rossi surprised Lina and I with tickets to Bora Bora for our honeymoon. We declined it since it's such an expensive trip, but he insisted so we thanked him for his generosity and accepted the gift.
"Did you pack the sunscreen?" asks Lina, putting on her sunglasses.
I check my bag. "Yup." I hand the sunscreen bottle to her.
She settles down underneath a beach umbrella, rubbing sunscreen on her arms and legs. "Can you get my back?" She moves her hair to the front.
"Sure." Taking the bottle from her, I squeeze a bit in my palm and massage it onto her back, moving my hands up and down slowly.
"Thanks." Turning around she gives me a quick peck on the lips.
"No problem." I can't help but stare at the beautiful open back romper she's wearing.
"You should use some, too." Lina passes me the bottle.
I take off my shirt and grin at her. "Wanna help me?"
She pushes me down onto the beach blanket so I'm on my back before climbing onto me. "Gladly." After we're both covered in sunscreen, we decide to take a nap underneath the sun.
"Y'know you can get skin cancer from cumulative exposure to sun?" I state.
"As a matter of fact, I do know that." Lina flips onto her back. "But I want to get a tan."
I chuckle and look down at my own pale skin.
"By the way, I like your haircut."
I run my hand through my shorter hair. "Thanks. I wanted to try something new." For the rest of the afternoon, we just lie in the sun, soaking up heat.
"What do you want to do?" asks Lina, propping herself up on her elbows.
"Hmmm...."
"Let's go snorkeling!" She jumps up before I can say anything.
"What?!?" I sit up.
"C'mon, Rossi already paid for everything!" She takes my hand and yanks me up. I'm about to protest but she plants her lips on mine. "Don't bother arguing."
One hour later, I find myself in snorkeling gear and my swimming trunks. Lina smiles brightly at me with her huge goggles and I can't help but giggle. She looks so cute.
"Have fun guys!" the snorkel instructor says as we get into the water.
I slowly dip my feet in the water before submerging my whole body underneath. At first, I don't enjoy it—but when I see how beautiful it is underwater, I find myself never wanting to leave. There are coral reefs, tiny fishes, and colourful rocks around me.
"Mmmm!" Lina mumbles, giving me the thumbs up sign.
Blowing bubbles, I hold her hands and pull her closer to me. "Mhmmm!" We swim around together, poking at fishes and other creatures that pass by us. Just as we're about to resurface, a seahorse appears in front of my face and I gasp, making me inhale water. Panicking, I start to thrash around wildly.
Lina notices and quickly pulls me up. "Spence, are you okay?" she asks, rubbing her hand on my back as I cough out water.
"Y-yeah." I gasp, tears form in my eyes from all the coughing. Afterwards, we change into some dry clothes and get some lunch. We go into a beach hut and order food, along with some cocktails.
