"Agent Astrid Fuentabella, your first mission is to assassinate the son of the world's renowned drug lord."

Director Antonius gave me a clear folder that held all the details I need for this mission. Napangisi ako nang makitang may top case na nakalagay sa harapan ng folder, ibig sabihin importante ang mission na 'to sa kanila.

I took the folder into my own hands. My face was serious but I was secretly celebrating inside. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala. I just got sworn in the troop recently and they're already willing to give me an important case. It just shows that they trust me too much to handle this.

I'm grateful, of course. Also, this is my chance to boast.

Nilingon ko ang babae na nasa kabilang bahagi ng helipad. Malayo siya sa podium. She looks like an actual ghost because of her stance near the darkness, void of light. One step backward and she'll fall right off this high building.

Masama siyang nakatitig sa'kin habang pinupuri ako ni Director Antonius.

Dapat lang, 'no. Both of us were always at the top consecutively for five years pero ako pa rin ang pinili ng director. Hindi siya. It just implies that I'm better than her.

"Can I trust you with this, Agent?"

I slowly smiled. "Of course, Director."

"He's very meticulous since he studied law. The client also wants his death to be quick so no tormenting."

I just nodded at that. Tormenting the victim is way more entertaining, though, but... well... Director's orders and client's request. Wala na akong magagawa dun.

This is Ludus Avoir, an agency that trains young girls to become femme fatales. The richest people in the world come to us to do their bidding. They pay us to kill their enemies and make it as natural as possible to avoid scandals. Almost a hundred girls from each country are picked every year. They're required to hone their fighting skills until they're worthy enough to be assigned to a mission.

Some voluntarily come here but most of the agents, like me, are scouted.

I've been here for seven years. I can skillfully escape a battlefield without a scar. Swift as a fox yet dangerous like a blade. That's all I've been since I was scouted.

Director Antonius clasped his hands together. "Great! You'll be leaving on a plane tonight. Good luck, Agent. I'm sure we'll see each other again."

Director Antonius made his last speech before he dismissed the troop. Jealous eyes laid on me while the group dispersed but some patted me on the back, wishing me good luck. Such losers.

Hindi pa nga ako nakakapunta sa fire exit, agad kong may naramdaman na naglalakad papalapit sa'kin. I sighed before rolling my eyes.

I bet this is her.

As if on instinct, I stepped sideways, reaching my right hand out so that I could hold her arm that was already extended out, ready to choke me. Nang mahawakan ko na ang braso niya, agad ko itong inikot hanggang sa napasigaw si Lia, my long-time competitor.

"This is exactly why Director Antonius didn't choose you," she's slightly bending while I held her arm that was straighter than I'll ever be.

"Your offense is all flawed. If you wanted to choke someone, I suggest you shouldn't do a basic approach especially if it's to a trained assassin." I smirked.

She's just too young to understand all of this. Not physically, though. Lia and I are about the same age but she still acts like a freaking kindergarten throwing a tantrum.
