Why did you leave?
When I tried to tell you how you hurt me,
How to make it all better,
Why did you leave?

I was stuck having to sew myself together at the points where you ripped me.
Stuck having to teach myself how to be whole again.

Why didn't you listen?
You should have.

Even when it hurts,
Even when it brought light to the parts of yourself you had tried so hard to hide.
You should have.

I listened to you, let you tear away the parts of me you didn't see fit.

But I suppose that's my mistake,
It's selfish to expect the same.
