Levi's Perspective

"You sound like you need a friend" -9:02pm

Armin, I do need a friend. I need someone I can talk to without hearing the same things I told myself but, nine out of ten, that's not happening. As much as I wanted to respond to his message, I didn't really know how. Which is odd for me when it comes to Armin, especially since I feel I can talk to him comfortably and that doesn't happen with a lot of people. I set my phone down on my bed, rubbing the back of my neck and letting the texts slip from my mind; I have other worries.

While on a normal basis my favorite day us Friday—the last day of the major part of the working week—I dreaded tomorrow. Not because of Okajima's email, but because tomorrow, directly after work, I'd be alone with Rebecca. I'm not one to parade my emotions. But, obviously, I'm not good at hiding them from her either. I just hope tomorrow doesn't go bust as most other dates I've gone on with any female; we end up colliding, arguing, being thrown out of whatever dining place we're at.

"Knock, knock!" I familiar, shrill voice chimed from my door. I look up to see Hanji's face partially covered by her loose hanging hair, "Oh, you're not asleep?"

I shake my head, standing and stretching, "My mind's to awake for sleep." I remove my shirt, feeling it to be a little warm, "Do you want something?"

"Just wanted to invite you out your shell is all," she stood against the frame of my doorway, "Me and the girls were just talking."

I nod, going through my draw to find a change of clothes, "If you all don't mind me being half—which, clearly, you don't—I don't plan on putting a shirt back on." Hangi shrugs, continuing to stare at me disturbingly while I change from my dress pants into a pair of sweats. I swear, my housemate is a rapist...

I follow her out to the living room to see two other women sitting on opposite ends of the couch. I sit in between the both of them, ignoring their staring at my body; I feel I should be able to dress how I want under the roof I pay for. But of course there'll be consequences.

"Christa, Annie, this is Levi," Hangi presented as I sat down, "He decided to finally join us."

"I'm not exactly sure what I joined..." I said, leaning against the back of the couch and propping my arm beside me, behind the blonde one who's hair wasn't in a bun.

"Well," the girl to my left began, "We were just sharing anything that happened that's interesting of sorts."

"Thank you, whoever you are." I nodded towards her.

"Christa." She filled in. I hummed an 'mhm', acknowledging her name, "Um, can I ask you something, Levi was it?"

I sighed, feeling to know what she would ask. "If your question pertains to my shirt, my answer is I do what I want. If you're going to ask about my body, you have the next five seconds to touch or stare." I looked at her blankly, waiting for her reaction. Her cheeks were glowing red when she decided to move her hand lightly over my side, causing me to cringe. I grabbed her hand, putting it back on her lap, "Okay, time's up." I said, pulling my own hands to my sides.

Hanji was giggling in front of us, "I should've interjected about his ticklishness."

"I'm not ticklish..." I protested, crossing my arms over my chest, "Can we get back to whatever we were originally discussing? Because I'd like to share some opinion of my own."

"Um, I think I had a story about my husband and I?" The woman I presumed to be Annie finally spoke, "We've decided to adopt."

Hanji's face lit up excitedly, "Joy! Did you already get your paperwork done and everything?"
