I'll admit: there are people here that I actually detest to a degree. Not necessarily a multitude of people but more like a single person. Not to seem like I'm showing favoritism but Mr. Okajima does not have too much control over his temper. Though he seems to yell the most at Mr. Ackerman, his rhetorical appeal* is poor. I understand that Mr. Ackerman is tardy on a regular, but I know there are times when he's been earlier than some of his coworkers, myself included! Yet, the most Mr. Okajima would do is scowl sharply or mumble a "Don't let it happen again".
Perhaps, I'm being bias to only speak of one topic. Our day guard, Ms. Lee? Boy, is she a riot. Well, actually, she's a pretty decent person from what I've seen. You just wouldn't want to get on her bad side. The two of us rarely converse unless it's a common interest, or we bump into each other on the street. Speaking of bumping into people, the phone incident the other day couldn't have gotten anymore awkward than it was. Maybe it was my fault for not paying attention to where I was walking but when Mr. Ackerman appeared, I could almost feel a suffocatingly tense aura between just the three of us. Then, despite my lethargy**, things got a little hazy.
