We pulled into a McDonald's parking lot about ten minutes away from here. The drive thru had two customers ordering while the inside was fairly empty. I didn't even know what I wanted to eat, but I wanted something; my churning stomach was burning for food and I don't want to become gassy because of it. I stepped outside of the car, shutting the door behind me and meeting Levi. His car churped as he locked the doors with the remote on his keychain.

"Any idea of what you want to eat?" He asked, holding the door for my entry, "I'll pay."

I shrugged, reading the menu for something that sparked my taste buds. "I'm not sure, maybe a kid's meal?"

Levi chuckled from beside me, checking something on his phone. "Like that would really fill you up? You seem like the type that eats big when hungry."

I looked at him, pretending to be offended, "Are you calling me fat?" He becane flustered, refuting my accusation, "I'm messing with you, calm down." I said laughingly.

When I was being served, I ended up ordering two fish filets with a medium drink. Levi ordered a big mac meal and then paid us out. We sat at a bar-like table near a television. Levi set his food down for a second to run to the bathroom. The news was playing on the television set. It was a bit about a major company that publishes underground authors:

"Dr. Bodt says his next project is to get a single book out for any one, nonofficial written artist! 'Well, I've always wanted to give back to society somehow but I didn't know how. But since I love my profession as an author, why not give someone a start to that love as well? So yea, I'll do it. Oh, and buy my new book, 'Half A Life"! We now go to the daily weather forecast..."

"This place is disgusting," I looked down from the television set to see Levi's shriveled face, "I understand we guys don't all have accuracy but for fuck's sake, clean up after yourself! And flush the toilets if you're gonna shit!"

I chuckled, taking a bite of my sandwich, "So what was that big meeting about today with Okajima?"

He swallowed his drink before responding, "In short, I got fired. Or would that qualify as quitting?" I gave him a confused look, hoping for an explanation. "I was given a choice: stop breaking policy or leave. Of course, I enjoy rule breaking."

"Well, what rule were you breaking?" I took another bite of my sandwich, "Other than being tardy of course."

He smirked, "I'm the face behind the most renowned author on our paper. Apparently, I can't write while I work there."

I set my soda down, "Sasha was just saying something to me about that the other day."

"Yea? Well, I wish I had heard." He was looking down at his phone while finishing his soda. Half of his sandwich was uneaten.

"Speaking of Sasha, Levi," I grabbed his attention, remembering Sasha and I's mall date the other day, "I now have wads of clothes that I didn't wear because of this short coming so you still owe me an outing".

He smirked, showing me his phone. It was texts between Armin and he about the topic. He said he knew I'd ask him for an actual date and for ideas. Armin had a list of suggestions: a park, the movies, the fair. There was also a bit in there about taking Armin out as well to make up for the meeting's display.

The fair was a considerable idea, "Can I suggest?" He put his phone face down on the table, "How about the three of us go to the fair when it comes? That way I can watch you guys scream on the thrill rides."

He shrugged, getting up to throw away his uneaten food and refill his drink. "I don't do thrill rides though but sure. When does it come?"

I pulled up the calendar online, "According to this online, next Wednesday."

"Perfect. You know, that would've made 10years at the job?" He sat back down across from me, sipping his drink casually.

"Then it's a date/anniversary celebration/outing." I said with a smile, "Shall we go?"

We stood from the table. A store clerk asked me to cut the television off before leaving. When I did, I caught up with Levi and went with him to the car. He told me to put my address into his phone so he could navigate without badgering me so a fair portion of the ride was quiet.

"Rebecca." I opened an eye to my name from being on the verge of sleep. "How do you feel about Armin?"

I sighed, shutting my eye back, "I thought you told him how I felt already."

"So you do have a crush on him?" He asked. I shrugged, agreeing nonchalantly. "Why don't you two go together? He'd probably be better for you anyway."

"Because I can't tell if he likes me. How do I even go about asking?" I sat up, looking at him while he drove, "Plus, isn't he like in love with you or something?"

His face grew red, "I can't advocate about love or anything but he did say he's had a crush on me..."

I smirked, shaking my head, "Don't take offense but you two would be better together. I mean, I'm not sure if you're gay but he's all nerdy and basically idolizes you."

He huffed, pulling up to my place, "I think a simple friendship would be best for now."

I chuckled, placing a kiss on his cheek. "Goodnight, Levi." I stepped out of the car, shutting the door behind me. I used my key to unlock the house door, waving him off before he left and shutting the door behind me.

I hung my coat up on the rack, flopping on the couch afterwards. "Look at happy bunny Revy." Benny said, walking into the living room. "How'd your date go?"

I chuckled, "It was terrible, actually. Barely even a date."

His face skewed confusedly, "And you're happy about that?" I nodded, walking past him and into my own bedroom. I could use a nice nap right about now, anyways. I do wonder how Armin is getting along with today's happenings, though.
