This week has definitely been an interesting one, I must say. Granted I was sick for two days, what I've seen and experienced has been a little new to me and the office. But I can't let that hold my attention; I still have papers to read and file. As I sat back down in my chair, pulling my hair back into a ponytail, an email came through. It was from Okajima:

Text: Greetings. There is an important meeting being held this afternoon at 8pm. This is priority for the editing division. Please be sure of attendance.

Okajima didn't include what the meeting was for or about. I wonder if it's about our coming relocation; this building needs maintenance and has been deemed a little unsafe as far as the janitors and electricians go. Perhaps I should ask who will publish for us during the move? On a sticky note, I decided to jot down my question before I forget if. I stuck it to the side of my computer and continued to clean my inbox.

While I didn't want to continue to ponder on that email, I couldn't help thinking what it was for. Perhaps staff cuts were being made? Would they fire me? And if so, why? I come to work regularly, I do my work. I got this promotion because of my good work habits so why am I thinking about losing my job? I sighed, looking at my phone. It was connected to its charger, at 100%. I opened it, looking at the text messages Levi and I shared the other night. A smile spread across my face for an unknown reason but the feeling while reading was a nice feeling.

I sat up, looking at his office to see him working at his computer. I decided to send a message, ignoring the guilt of furthering my risk at being fired, if any chance existed. "Looks who's working hard. -3:54pm"

I sat my phone down and tried to make myself look busy while occasionally side-eyeing to see if he looked back over here. Once, he actually did before responding to the message. My phone startled me when it vibrated and fell off the table. I actually gasped, trying not to shriek. "Shouldn't you be working? -3:56pm" it read, "And I saw that, haha. -3:57pm" a second message.

I looked up to see him smirking at me. I felt my face heat up before I turned my attention away from his chuckling. "I am working. Did you ever get a date for Actor Man? -3:59pm"

I sat, biting my nail and waiting for him to respond. After a couple minutes, I looked up and saw him staring at his phone blankly. Was he even looking at his phone? A message came through, "We need to talk about that. -4:03pm" I didn't know how to respond to that. Instead, I set my phone down and let the day hours pass until this evening. Perhaps, he may bring it up at the meeting? Whatever it is, I do hope to meet him soon.
