About an hour after leaving, we pulled into the driveway of a large, beautiful vacation home. The sidewalks and pathways were clean and nearly sparkling; I was almost afraid to walk on on them. At the front lawn was a water feature that complimented the greenery lining the porch well.

"One day, I wanna have this much money," Rebecca said as she stepped out of the car, "So much that you don't know what to do with it. And you put water fountains in your front yard for no reason and own two cars but barely use either."

I chuckled to myself, stepping out of the car, and shutting the door behind me. "Maybe I'll share my lot if my plans go well." I glanced at my watch seeing it to be 11:58am, two minutes earlier than time. "We're early."

"That's new." Rebecca said, "Maybe it's because he won't nag you." I glared at her and she laughed. I shook my head, disregarding her lame joke.

I yawned, stretching. When my arm came down to my side I realized that there wasn't a usual shoulder for it to rest on. I looked back in the car to see Armin asleep in the passengers seat. I went around to his side of the car, opening the door and nudging him. "Armin, we're here." I said to no response. I nudged him again for the same result. I smirked, knowing that the only way to handle this (again) was by pinching his nose until he was conscious.

I took his nose between my index and middle finger and moved my hand side to side until he woke up groaning and trying to move his nose away from me, "You up?"

"Yes! Let me breathe now!" His nasally voice was laughable. He wiggled his nose a bit before a yawn overcame him.

I stepped aside so he could get out if the car before I shut the door behind him. "It's 12sharp." I said, glancing at my watch. I heaved nervously, fixing my attire.

"Don't be so tense, Ackerman." Rebecca said, "You'll do great! Besides, if you screw up, you could always reapply for the Titan."

I glared at her terrible joke as she laughed, "If you weren't a female, I'd punch you. Then again, I was never sure." I heard Armin chuckle to himself. I smiled and walked to the front door while Rebecca mumbled some curse.

I rang the doorbell to get a nearly immediate answer. A slim, shorter guy stood there; I guess he's a butler? "Are you here for an appointment?" He asked with a European English accent.

"Yes, for Ackerman?" The butler stood aside, allowing us to enter, before shutting the door and leading us to a room with a long table. "Dr. Bodt will be with you shortly." The butler said and left the room.

The three of us looked oddly at each other in silence while waiting. Perhaps a minute later, Dr. Bodt-or who I presumed to be him-walked in fashioning a casual dress top and slacks with sunglasses and a burret. "I'm sorry I'm late, I lost track of time with my friends." He excused, removing his shades and hat, setting them on the table and taking a seat. "But now that I'm here, let's get down to business, shall we?"

The butler from earlier returned with a folder of papers, handing them to Dr. Bodt, "Your documents."

"Thank you, Carter." He took out a few papers, looking them over. "Now, I requested a few papers from your last job on you, and your closest contact, which some informed me to be your blonde friend here. Armin, is it?"

"Yes, sir." Armin responded, sounding as if he didn't want to appear too childishly pushy.

"But you, miss," he gestured to Rebecca, "I haven't anything on. Is this your wife?"

I felt my face reddening. I almost didn't reply until Armin nudged me, "Uh, no, sir." Bodt looked up at us, glancing from me to Armin to Rebecca and back to me. "Okay, how about a small ice breaker? I hate when my clients are intimidated; I don't see why! So lay out anything you need to say if anything."
