Armin's Perspective

Is it Tuesday already? What even happened last night? I hope I managed to get something done before I fell asleep. I turned in my bed, unable to physically awaken from the deep sleep I was in but I could hear my thoughts clearer than day. What did happen yesterday? I searched through my mind, trying to remember how I got home. All I do remember is leaving the office with someone, getting in my car, smelling hot chocolate, and then it fades to black. Why is my memory fuzzy?

"Are you up?" I heard through the fog of my slumber. I groaned instead of vocalizing words, as I still could barely move. "Well, when you decide to get up, you should probably call out since it already fifteen past ten."

Fifteen past ten? Did I hear that correctly? And was that... Was that Mr. Ackerman? I struggled to open my eyes only to confirm my conjecture: Levi Ackerman was standing in my bedroom doorway, wearing nothing but a pair of jeans and socks. Now, I wish I wouldn't have opened my eyes; I'm trembling.

"There he is," he said sarcastically, "Get up, sleeping beauty."

I sat up, stretching and yawning, "Is it really 10:15?" I asked in disbelief.

He nodded, setting a cup on my end table next to my bed. "I wouldn't advise you go in today even if you wanted to go in late. The way you were hacking in your sleep, someone would think you're dying and the last thing we need is a reason for your coworkers to be distracted." He opened the blinds of my windows.

I picked up the steaming mug, looking at the drink with small and puffy marshmallows floating around it. "I was coughing in my sleep?"

"Didn't I say that?" He rebutted, side-eyeing me. I felt my face heat up a little as I looked down at my hot chocolate. "You don't trust it or something?"

"What?"

"I noticed how often you drink that so I made you some and added a little sweetness to it, if you don't mind."

I put the mug to my mouth, sipping a little from it. That was the best hot chocolate I've tasted in ever. This mug of hot chocolate tasted different and way more satisfying than any cup I made. It was sweet, yes, but it wasn't over-the-top, bouncing off the walls sweet. It was perfection! "What did you put in it? It's really sweet!"

"Too much?"

"No, no, it's perfect. Did you put like... a drug or something in here?"

He smirked, "For the record that probably wouldn't sweeten it but no. I simply added honey and whipped cream."

I never tasted whipped cream before. As often as I drink hot chocolate, it always disturbed me. Eren actually traumatized me out of having whipped cream; he used to scare me with it. He doesn't anymore but I've never had whipped cream before. Honey, I've tasted but never this strongly. "Well, it's really good." I said, drinking in larger quantities.

I heard him chuckle, "Don't drown in it, Armin." I presume he caught me chugging down the warm beverage. I'm sorry, but that was a fine cup of hot chocolate. It was a shame I finished it so soon.

The buzz of my phone rattled the end table next to me. I set my cup down, taking the phone off of the charger and answered the call that I was receiving from Eren. "Hello? Oh, yea, I'm fine..." He went on about miscellaneous things, saying my lethargy caused me to "blow off our group plans". The call hadn't lasted more than five minutes but he encouraged me to call out as well, saying Levi told him that I was coughing in my sleep-choking as he put it, perhaps. Levi walked around to retrieve my empty cup, motioning that he was going downstairs. Eren mentioned something about him being forced, by Mikasa, to come over and check on me before our call ended.

I put my phone down on its post, realizing that I was still in day clothes; I hadn't taken a shower. I kicked my bed sheets off to the side, standing from the bed and removed my shirt. As I went to my closet to get fresh clothes, I heard, Levi's voice at the door. "I have a question." He said out of the blue.

I jumped startled, cringing when I remembered that I don't have a shirt on. "Don't scare me like that!" He hadn't a readable expression on his face. "What is it?"

"Are you going to be okay here? I asked Mikasa to take me in half day today." He said plainly, looking at his phone.

"Yea, I'll be fine. Eren said they we're coming over to check up on me in a little anyways." I said, still cringed and covering my body. I don't have a problem with my body; I'm just uncomfortable with it is all. I mean, sure, I'm not well toned like he is but I also don't want to be seen half naked by my coworker.

"Okay." He stood at the door with his hands in his pockets, staring at me.

I couldn't move. I was frozen and blushing hard; I could feel it. "Is there something else you wanted?" I asked in hopes that he'd disappear.

He shook his head, "Continue what you were doing... which is hiding your stomach for whatever reason."

I swallowed hard, slowly removing my hands but turning my body at an angle where I felt he could only see my sides. I took out some comfortable clothes to wear around the house: shorts, a T-shirt, and socks (since it was cold). I made sure to hug the clothes to my chest as I nudged past him to go to the bathroom. My face nearly exploded when my arm brushed his a little. I could feel myself calming down a little when I got to the bathroom, behind a closed door. Then, I remembered that I listen to music when I shower-it defeats my paranoia of someone breaking in on me while I'm in the shower (another Eren-created fear).

I put my clothes down on the counter and peeked my head out of the bathroom door, relieved when I saw that Levi wasn't standing in my doorway anymore. I casually walked to my room, taking my phone off the table. There was a text from Mikasa showing on the lock screen. I read it as I walked out of my room and, "luckily", bumped into you know who again. This time, I was directly in front of his bare chest as well as my own being uncovered. "Levi, please stop creeping around my house." I pleaded, feeling the blood from a previous blush return to my cheeks.

He smirked, reaching past me and grabbing his phone off of the dresser. "I left my phone up here. Sorry."

"Okay, Levi..." I sighed, walking back to the bathroom.

Mikasa, please hurry and take him to the office. I'm going to implode if you don't...
