~Castiel's POV
“Rora?” It was muffled but my ears latched on to it. I was sitting outside of my bedroom door. “Oh God, Rora!” Much louder and with more excitement. I was on my feet in seconds. I burst into the room and my eyes immediately latched onto Aurora’ upright figure. Gabe had his arms wrapped tightly around her neck. Aurora brought one of her own around his stomach and her eyes blinked to me. A smile spread across my face and she looked at me with a question in her eyes. “What’s going on?” She asked and the smile left my face. “Aurora?” Her eyes remained on me. “You didn’t react well to the blood I gave you.” Her eyes widened. “You gave me what? Why!” Her temper had flared, Gabe and I both knew it. Gabe slid off the bed and came towards the door. “I will be back when the bomb has been defused. Take this as your only free pass, mutt.” He glared at me but left the room. I closed the door and took careful steps towards her.
I knelt before her and took her hands into my own. She looked at me oddly but didn’t protest. “I have missed you, flacără mică.” I nuzzled my head into her stomach, breathing in her addicting scent. “Mind telling me what happened?” She asked, pushing my head away. She was smiling, but tried to look stern by crossing her arms over her chest. I wrapped my arms around her waist and drank in the sight of her, every part of her. I did not realize how much I loved her until I’d almost lost her. “You lost a lot of blood. It was my fault. I did not protect you, and I did not take you away when you got hurt. It is my fault, and I may only dream of your forgiveness.” She surprised me by rolling her eyes. I frowned up at her and she smirked, running her thumb over my bottom lip.
“It wasn’t your fault because I made the mistake of going for their Alpha and I would have simply stumbled back on to the battlefield.” She moved her hair away from her face, tucking it behind her ear. “But-” She shook her head at me and my mouth clamped shut. “It was all me Cass. Now continue.” She scooted closer to me and my heart swelled with love for her. After everything that I’ve done, she hadn’t left, and she hadn’t killed me.
“I had to give you my blood. It was the only thing that we knew would work. You were fine for a few hours, and then you just, collapsed. You’ve been asleep for five days. An unbearable five days.” I pressed my face into her stomach again, her scent drawing me near. I felt her fingers in my hair and I growled into her stomach. The slightest of touches aroused me, and I didn’t know how long I would be able to wait to mate with her. But I would have to do it, because I would not take her virginity from her savagely.
“The last thing I remember is falling off of you.” She mumbled against my hair. I could feel the mate bond pulling. The Moon Goddess was putting more of the mate bond on her. I could smell her need for me, taste it when we kissed. But I would only go as far as she would let me. “During the time you slept, my family arrived. Jacob tried to get in contact with Henry, but he couldn’t. Neither could I. Jacob left yesterday night to return home and look further for them.” I felt her tense against me and her fingers stopped moving through my hair. She cared a great deal for her brother, Wendigo, and as much as I disliked it, Drew.
“There is something else.” I said, looking away. Corena had finished the pills the day before. I was going to be completely honest with her about it. “Giving you so much of my blood had been a mistake, and what made you fall ill. Your body had rejected it, and tried to fight it. If I were to give you that amount again, you would die. If I were to give you anything more than say, the amount you can fit into a pill your body would not respond well.” She narrowed her eyes at me. “So… Just don’t give me anymore blood.” I sighed and looked away again. “You need to be able to take my blood for a number of reasons. So to break the reaction your body has to it, you have to have more.” I looked up to find her shaking her head. “Aurora, it is necessary. If you were to ever get injured again you need to be able to take my blood without going into a coma, or worse.” She continued to shake her head. I pulled the pill bottle from my pocket and rested it on her knee. “Once a day, for two months.” She glared at me and snatched the pills away. “I am not a vampire.” She growled, disgusted. I took her face in my hands. “I know that you are not, my love. But this is something that I can not back down on. You will take these pills, because it is what’s best for you.” She only grew angrier. “Like locking me in a garage was what was best for me!” She shouted causing me to flinch. But I needed her to see my way of things. I kissed her chin and she shook her head. “Cass no, quit it.” I continued. Kissing her jaw line, and then down her neck. My canines extracted and I brushed them against her skin. “When I marked you, your blood had nearly caused me to have an orgasm where I stood.” I breathed against her skin, remembering the taste on my tongue. “Cass.” She moaned, as my teeth brushed over the place where I had previously marked her. I took the sensitive skin between my teeth and she gripped my shoulders. “Castiel, stop.” It was breathless, and weak. I pressed my lips to the mark and pulled back just enough to look in her fog covered eyes. “Will you take your medicine?” She nodded and I had to go back to her neck to keep the smirk from my lips. “Do you promise?” I asked and she groaned a yes as I bit my mark gently. It swelled my pride to know that I had this much of an effect on her. But it also swelled other things.
I sat back on my legs and waited for her to come down. When she did, she glared at me. “You manipulated me.” She said, outraged. I shook my head and moved my fingers to trail down her skin. “I gave you something you wanted, to get something you need.” I blinked up at her and she rolled her eyes. “Save it, Casanova.” She shoved at my chest and tried to get up from the bed. She fell into me and I caught her easily. I scooped her up and rose from the floor. “Let me go, pervert.” I growled and nibbled her ear. I hated it when she called me such names, but I knew when she meant them and when she did not. I walked towards the bathroom and lowered Aurora onto the sink counter. “What are you doing?” She asked as I turned the water on in the tub. I pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it to the side. “You will want to wash up before meeting my parents. You are in no condition to be taking a shower.” I said simply, moving back to her and gripping the hem of her shirt. She placed her hands over my own. “I am totally capable here, ok.” She whispered. I had forgotten of her innocence so quickly. I moved my hands away and instead used one to brush hair from her face. “I will not touch you where you do not ask to be touched. But I will help you.” Aurora shook her head. “I can handle it, I promise.” I chuckled softly and brought my lips down on her. I kissed her lightly, then the corners of her mouth. I took her bottom lip in between my teeth, running my tongue along it. “I must.” I said, pulling away. “You must.” She repeated. But I waited for the effects of my kiss to wear off before moving any further. “Close your eyes.” She said and I grinned, doing as told. She moved around in front of me, her knees bumping against me. She took my hands and guided them to her naked hips. “Set me down.” I lifted her from the counter and placed her on the floor, wrapping an arm around her waist to support her. “Aurora this is ridiculous.” I said as I guided her to the tub. I lifter her into it, water splashing onto my chest. She patted it and turned me around. “Bubbles, STAT.” I sighed and opened my eyes. I searched through the cabinets, coming up empty for bubbles. “Check my bags.” She said and I felt more like her servant than her mate. I searched through her bag in the bedroom and pulled out all of her bathroom amenities. She would be living here now. It was time she moved in. I carried them awkwardly and let them fall into the sink.
I shielded my eyes as I handed her the bubbles. A few minutes went past and she told me I was free to open my eyes. Her entire body was shielded from view by a mountain of bubbles. I sat on the edge of the tub and grinned at her. “You are, creative, my love.” I leaned over and kissed her forehead. “I am also 19. Much too young for you.” She pushed my face away. She sunk further into the tub and closed her eyes. “I am very tired for a girl who just woke from a coma, of sorts.” She murmured. “Shampoo me.” I got up and brought her the shampoo, along with the conditioner. “You catch on fast. You’ll be upgraded to Tampon Man in no time.” She laughed at her own joke. I was content with watching her soak. As long as she was alive and healthy, I was content with anything she did.
