Five more days passed with no luck. Malcolm and Drake had left. They were Alpha and third in command to a pack that had just gone through war. They'd spent more time than they should have. Liam went to check on Corena and Adela, Castiel's orders.
I was feeling utterly hopeless when I had a major breakthrough.
"The bones." I murmured, looking up from the book Jacob had given me to look for clues. I pushed my chair back roughly and everyone in the room looked up at me.We were all drained, we'd all taken a hit at the demon and gotten nothing but terrible puns and snide remarks. "The freaking bones!" I shouted throwing the book down on the table. I grabbed Castiel's shoulders, he'd been sitting next to me looking through a different book. I smashed my lips against his and did a small cheer. I pushed my hands into my hair and looked up at the ceiling. "Dear God the bones."
"Ok what about the bones and who's?" Lana shouted, agitated. Gabe whispered that he thought I'd finally swan dived over the deep end. Jacob began nodding his head and then grinned. "That's genius girl!" He shouted getting up from his chair. "I gotta get Dean." I breathed, putting my hands together. "I pray to Dean who art in heaven, or wherever you are. Dean! I'm sorry if you're doing any heavenly slaying but this is important-" Before I could finish I heard the flutter of his wings. I grinned at him and he frowned. "Did you find them?" He asked and I shook my head. "But I am a lot closer than I was two minutes ago. Can you get me the name of that demon?" I said to him and he thought it over. He slid off his leather jacket and I took it from his hands. "Give me five minutes with it." He murmured and went into the storage room.
She screamed louder than any of had made her do for five minutes straight. Dean knew exactly what he was doing and I wondered what he did up in heaven. He came out exactly five minutes later, his hands and up to his elbows covered in blood. "I touched her soul, among other things. There was no hiding her name from me. But the location of your brother and friend are deeper inside of it than I can go." He looked at his arms in disgust and rubbed them against his white shirt. "Awe Dean come on dude." I grabbed a towel from our extensive collection on the table and tossed him one. He caught it easily and wiped the remainder of the blood from his arms and hands. "Her name is Jade Draegar, I remember the name. A powerful family in France dating back to the early 1400's. She must have married in because I knew the Draegar's. What am I to do with the information?" He said tossing the towel into the pile of bloody ones we had made.
"Find me those bones Dean." I said and he raised an eyebrow. "We get those bones, we get Drew and Henry." He was gone directly after I said it. I waited patiently, he'd be back soon. Dean worked extremely fast when you gave him direction. A good little soldier who had a human as his unfortunate weakness.
He came back an hour later, and Gabe had to shake me awake. I sat up and turned in my chair to face Dean. His shirt was no longer covered in blood.
"She was not buried on the family plot, and for good reason. She did marry into the family, but she was cast out when she murdered her husband to get access to all of his money instead of the huge amounts that he gave her as allowance. It is said by the family that the last people who know where she is buried are all dead. Her mother, who buried her, her husband, and herself." I sighed and slumped against the table. I ran his words over in my head again and frowned. "Wait, wait. The husband? Wasn't he dead?" Dean made a face and opened his mouth. He closed it and looked for words to explain. "Jade was not a very good murderer. She got caught directly after stabbing her husband, and was killed on the spot. She didn't manage to get in a fatal wound, he died slowly. He was alive long enough to pee on her grave, as his diary said." I snorted with laughter and sat back up. "Poor bastard." Dean nodded his head in agreement.
"I guess I know who we're inviting to dinner." Gabe said and I smirked. "Supply run." Jacob said and made his way out of the room. "Am I the only one who's lost?" Lana scratched her head and Cass shook his head, the confusion written in his face. "Oh my sweet Lycan." I ran my fingers down the side of his cheek and his eyes darkened immediately. "We're summoning a ghost."
