Chapter 25
I figured Atarius would be moving us from this place. I would have a few seconds, at least of him running his mouth, telling me his plan like all super villains, and I'd have the time to slap my hands together and scream bloody murder for Dean. If that didn't work, I'd left my maps in the motel room. Jacob would hopefully find this place and from there us. Gabe thought it was a horrible plan, we'd end up dead for sure. I told him to come untie my hands and I'd pray for Dean right then. He shut up.
The sun had left the dusty windows and my eyes were growing tired. I was running on about three hours of sleep. Gabe kept reaching his foot across the space and kicking me everytime I dozed off. The third time I dozed off, his chair had fallen back. He was knocked unconscious which sucked because his damn chair had splintered.
"Gabe get your ass up." I hissed, continually glancing at the door the demons had gone into. There were a lot more in various places of the ware house. Gabe and I were in what seemed to be the staff lounge. Gabe groaned and rolled to his side. "That's right, come back to me." I whispered more urgently. His eyes fluttered open and he rolled away from the chair. He scrunched his body up like a worm and got to his knees. Our arms and legs had been tied, then we were bound to the chairs. He managed to get to his feet and looked at me in awe. "How'd I do that?" He asked. "By giving yourself a concussion now get your ass out of those ropes." I kept watch while he hopped around the room looking for something to cut the ropes with. He vanished from my line a vision behind a wall. "Rora they have one of those fancy meat cutters over here!" He whisper yelled and I shushed him. Years seemed to pass before he came out completely unbound with a cutting knife in hand. "Kitchen." He said. He sawed away at my ropes, taking equally as long as he had before.
Footsteps sounded outside the door as the last of the ropes dropped to the floor. I picked up a leg from Gabe's broken chair and held it like a bat. Gabe was ready with his knife. We approached the door cautiously. We stood next to it, waiting for it to open. When it did, I looked at Gabe and he nodded at me. As the person stepped into the room I swung the leg of the chair, hitting them in the forehead. I looked down and then back at Gabe.
"Oops." I said. I'd just knocked Liam unconscious.
I dropped the leg and nudged Liam with my foot. He didn't budge. "I guess I hit him pretty hard." More footsteps sounded and I looked up. The door opened up to a narrow hallway. Castiel was at the end of it. I waved to him and he sighed in relief. He came to me and pulled me to him. "Why are you always disappearing?" He asked. I hugged him back and hoped I wasn't exciting his wolf or anything. It was definitely not the time to be mating.
"We were captured." I said and he held me at arms length. He shook his head at me and kissed me. It was short but enough to get my body humming with want for him. I pushed it down, and I could see him trying to do the same.
"You've been gone for an entire day." He said and my eyes widened. "Then that means Atarius will be here soon and you need to hide and tie Gabe and I to new chairs." I'd formulated a new, and frankly, much better plan. Atarius didn't know we'd been set free. We could ambush him. Castiel looked at me curiously. "Well don't tie it tight of course. Just make it look convincing. Now let's go. Who know's when he'll come." I turned Castiel around and pushed him down the hallway.
Castiel led the way to the others and to my surprise Drake and Malcolm were there. Malcolm grinned at the sight of me and spread his arms for me. I walked into them smiling just as big as he was. "It's weird, that you don't smell like sweat." We'd only spent time together when we we exercising. I stepped back and threw my arms around Drake. "My favorite werewolf in the Animal Kingdom." I said and he laughed softly, patting my back. "Now what are you two doing here?" I asked leaving Drake's arms.
"Lover pup had to call in reinforcements." Lana's thin body emerged from the shadows and I rolled my eyes at her. She wore army green pants and a black shirt. Her curly black hair was pinned pack from her face. Her light brown skin shone in the moon light. "You creep. Linking out from behind things like James Bond or something." I grinned and Lana stuck her hand out to me. I grabbed it and gave it a hearty shake. She wasn't the hugging type, unless it was Henry of course.
"Well he called you unnecessarily. I had a plan from the beginning." I heard Gabe grumble yeah right and Lana chuckled. "Of course you did. Because that's you, going in with no plan at all, formulating them as you go." Lana shook her head at me and put her hands in her pants pockets. "What is your plan anyway?" She asked smirking, questioning my ability. "It's actually pretty good. Originally, before we were freed, it was to pray to Dean to follow us while in transit to where ever Atarius would take us. Now, when Atarius comes, we ambush him. No one kill him, just maybe poke him with a demon knife a few times." Lana gave me a genuine smile and it was my turn to smirk. "Not bad."
Nothing happened for five days, nothing Atarus related. Liam woke up and gave me a huge piece of his mind, but that was it. On the third day I called Dean in. I asked him to keep watch, he could get from the road to the warehouse fastest. He reluctantly accepted, only because we were pretty damn close to getting Henry and Drew back. There were things he could be slaying heavenly he'd complained but eventually his weak spot for me made him cave.
Two days later Dean popped into the warehouse.
"Three vans are approaching." He said calmly. I was in the middle of an episode of Prison Break with Gabe. I closed my laptop and Gabe dragged me away before I could put it away properly. Castiel tied us up quickly, kissing my cheek before leaving us. We didn't know how to explain the lack of demons around but we figured it was still worth a shot. My angels dagger was in my hand. We were facing the door that opened up to the garage of the warehouse. The door opened and the angel knife almost slipped from my hand. Leading up the pack, was my mother.
