Corena had texted the address to Henry for me at 8 in the morning after Castiel had carried me to his office. His office was the room the spiral stairs in his closet had lead into. They gave me the impression that his work meant an awful lot to him. It would take them four hours to get to Castiel's house. I'd cried on Castiel for an hour before falling asleep. I'd slept for another. When I woke up, the fireplace was crackling and a blanket was over top of me. Castiel was planted behind his desk, slaving away at something.
I sat up slowly, stretching my arms over my head. I yawned scratching my head absently. I sat for a moment, catching my bearings before standing. Castiel spared me a glance then focused back on whatever he was doing. "Sleep, flacără mică. Your family will not arrive for another hour." I swung my feet onto the floor and stood up. I padded over to the piano in the corner and played the first few keys to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Castiel's clicking stopped as he listened. "You play the piano?" I smiled at the memory. "My mother taught me a little, yeah." It was bittersweet and soon the smile was gone from my face. It was hard to remember her, when I knew little of what had happened. One day she was there, the next she was gone. My father went chasing after her, taking us along. I can't remember when he gave up. I suspected it was around the time he met Gabe's mother.
Castiel hummed his acknowledgement. I made my way to his desk. I leaned against it and Castiel looked at me over the top of his computer. There was a huge pile of papers next to it. He'd placed another desk next to his so they formed a right angle. The other desk held a telephone and another pile of papers. Castiel leaned back in his chair and smiled at me. "What?" I questioned, crossing my arms over my chest. "Nothing, dragul meu. It is just that your beauty stuns me." My cheeks heated and I shuffled my socked feet. I wondered where my shoes were in the gigantic house. "I just finished crying. I imagine that I'm not a beautiful as you say at the moment." Castiel shook his head and leaned forward on the desk. He placed his elbows on the desk and held his head in his hands. "You will always be beautiful to me. It is my birthright to love and protect you." I smiled softly, looking at him beneath my lashes. "What are you doing anyway?" I asked, changing the subject. Castiel sighed, running his hand through his hair. I ached to do it myself.

"Some werewolves have been forming packs. It's my job to either approve or deny their requests. Then I have to enforce my decision. Make sure they don't make a pack anyway. Those who are approved need an Alpha. They need land, and they need help funding their pack. I have to oversee all of that. Then there is the Lycan thing. Every now and then the Moon Goddess, the spirit that made my father, needs me to make someone a Lycan. I have to find them and make that happen. It extremely hard to find a wolf that doesn't belong to a pack. There aren't many packs, the practice just became popular. It's stressful." He went to run his fingers through his hair but I reached over the desk and grabbed his hand. I lowered it to his lap and ran my own fingers through his long wavy locks. They reached down to the base of his neck. They were soft, and flowed easily like water. Castiel closed his eyes and his chest rumbled. "You're just like a puppy." I chuckled taking my hand away. Castiel opened his eyes, glaring at me. "I just enjoy the feeling of my mate touching me. That does not insinuate me being a dog. I am a wolf." He grabbed my hand and pulled on it gently. I rounded the desk and stood in between his legs. He leaned back in his chair, looking up at me. "You've never seen my wolf, have you?" I shook my head quickly. He chuckled at my urgency and I punched his shoulder. "I will shift for you, when we have a moment. Your family will be here soon. Tell me about them?" I scooted his papers out of the way and sat on top of his desk. I fiddled with Castiel's large hand, unsure about where to start.
"Well there's Gabe, my younger brother. He's 13 and a royal pain in my ass." Castiel squeezed my hand. I met his eyes. "Do not cuss, love." I rolled my eyes but nodded anyway. "Then there's Henry. We're twins, he's older by a few minutes and seems to think that gives him the right to control me. We're 19. Drew and Weni aren't blood, but they're like family, also twins. They're a year older than Henry and me." Castiel's brow furrowed. "You're only 19?" He asked, shocked. "Yeah, how old are you?" Castiel pulled me off of the desk. He caged me between his legs by crossing them at the ankles behind me. He kissed the top of my hand, his blue eyes never leaving mine. "I was born in 1754. I am 260 years old. I will be turning 261 in April." My breath caught in my throat and Castiel looked at me expectantly. "You can't be serious." I tried to remove myself from his grasp but he only pulled me closer. "I am love."
"Well then why do you look like you're 25!" I yelled. He was a pervert. A gorgeous, young looking, pervert. Castiel chuckled shaking his head. "I am a Lycan. I stopped ageing when I was 26. When I mark you," He touched a place on my neck, just above my collar bone. It sent a shudder through my body because I knew exactly what he meant. To claim a female as theirs, the male had to bite their mate on their neck. It left a permanent mark, an intricate design like a tattoo that let all other males know that the female was spoken for after the pair completed the bond by mating. The the female also takes on the males scent. In my case, along with the scent, I'd stop ageing and live as long as Castiel.
"And we complete our bond, your life will be attached to mine. We will have eternity with one another. If you die, so will I, and the other way around. I can no longer live without you. I've waited 200 years for you, Aurora. It does not mean anything to me how young you are. You are mine, flacără mică, dragul meu, mina." As he leaned in to kiss me, there was a knock on the door. Castiel leaned his head against my stomach and sighed. He blew into my stomach and I pushed his head away, laughing uncontrollably. Castiel grinned and uncrossed his legs. I scampered away from him and opened the office door. Corena was on the other side smirking. "They're here." My mood brightened. I rushed past her. In the foyer of the house, Drew, Weni, Henry, Gabe, and Jacob were looking around in awe. I ran to the nearest one, Drew, and threw myself into his arms. He caught me easily. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. I breathed in the familiar smell of his calonge. Castiel's growl echoed throughout the room.
"Aurora, he is not your blood. My wolf is not ok with this contact, and neither am I." I untangled myself from Drew and he set me on the floor. "Ignore him Drew." I grinned up at him before moving onto Henry. I threw myself at him and he chuckled. "Hey Tiger." He squeezed me before setting me down. As soon as my feet hit the floor, Gabe tackled me. "I'm so sorry I wrecked your car and caused you to get kidnapped by a deranged werewolf that thinks that he is a Lycan." I laughed and hugged my little brother. He was almost just as tall as me, taking after our father with his height. I fluffed his brown hair. "It's alright Gabriel." He jerked back and glared at me. "Hey, we're not on a full name bases." I laughed again and he smiled at me. Jacob tipped his head at me over Gabe and I did the same. I then tackled Weni in a hug, laughing.
