I sprung up from the table and rushed towards Dean. "I am fine, the blood isn't my own." He said as I inspected him. "What have you been doing Dean?" I asked him, holding his face in my hands checking for wounds. "Defending heaven against all those who wish to do it harm." He stated simply and batted my hands away.
"I need you to find Henry."
"I can't and you know this."
"What about Drew."
"The Regan twins have the same markings as you and your brothers."
"Well can't you take them off?"
"Not without them present, no."
"Well can't you reach into my soul and pull out a miracle!"
"Aurora." Dean sighed looking down at his shoes. His green eyes swirled with an emotion he probably didn't even know he was feeling. He only felt at all because he was associated with me. If he hadn't ever met me personally, he'd be an emotionless warrior of God. Now he had a conscious. "I'll do everything I can to help you. That's really all I can say. What happened?" He said finally. "Demon's." I went back to the table and plopped down in my chair. I grabbed a handful of french fries and attempted to shove them all in my mouth. Dean took one from my container and put it in his mouth. "Human food amazes me with it's variety of flavors." Although he didn't hunger, he tended to eat when he was around me. His guilty pleasure. "It happened about two weeks ago. They killed Weni." Dean's eyes saddened and he took another fry. "Do you have any idea why, or who?" Dean asked sitting in the last seat at the table.
"She thinks it's either her mom or the crossroads king." Gabe had to answer for me, I was still working through the handful of fries. Dean nodded, thinking. "It's probably under his order that your mother was involved. What better bait? They call him Atarius if I remember correctly. Definitely not his name before death." I nodded and gave Gabe a look that said "now aren't you glad we took him away from his heavenly slaying?"
Dean tapped his fingers on the table and looked at the door. "I had forgotten you have more than one God involved in your life. How are things, with your mate?" As he finished the sentence Cass entered the room, soaking wet. "Castiel." Dean addressed him and Cass noded at him causing me to look at him in shock. "Angel." He mumbled pulling his shirt over his head. He closed the door and disappeared into the bathroom.
"Do you know what's up with him?" I asked Dean and he smiled in the lopsided way I'd come accustomed to. "Of course. I visited Castiel before you two met, to ensure he would bring no harm to your life. When the Moon Goddess entangled your life with one of hers, she made it impossible to predict anything that would happen to you. So now I protect you from all major threats, I no longer have a map." I scratched my head, confused.
"Where were you when a werewolf was using my arm as a chew toy?" I asked and Dean flinched. "Slaying heavenly, as you would say. There has been an unusually amount of angels rebelling. God left for Earth many years ago leaving Michael in charge and some don't appreciate taking orders from anyone but our father." I felt for his situation but I kinda needed him in that moment. "I guess the scars give me added character." I said jokingly. Dean looked at the bathroom door then back at me.
"The wolf in him is restless. He wants to mate with you but he knows it is a bad time. He's acting this way to better control his wolf. He's been shifting a lot lately, as a way to relieve his wolf. It's becoming increasingly hard." Dean said. I drew back and gaped at him. Gabe's mouth hung open and his eyes held only horror. "I think I'm going to puke." He said putting his head in the McDonald's bag. "Dean you have to be more conspicuous about that type of stuff." I said shoving two nuggets in my mouth. Dean looked at me strangely. "Was I not meant to share that with everyone?" He asked in his adorable way. He was clueless about human stuff half of the time.
