Gen. Catapang says that his troops have been demoralized by the incident and are asking why they are being blamed.
Catapang: I support the call for the 44 PNP-SAF commandos to be accorded the recognition as heroes.
Sen. Poe asks if it was true that they had the information early and were ready to strike yet gave way to the mechanisms of the PNP.
Gen. Pangilinan called up Gen. Orense but people came to him at around noon.
As early as 9:20, the AFP was already in Tuka, says Gen. Pangilinan. Sen. Poe asks for the details of the reinforcement.
Gen. Pangilinan narrates that the 62nd Infantry attempted to reinforce the group trapped in the encounter. They only knew it was SAF.
The troops were not informed on how many SAF soldiers were in the encounter, or that there was another battalion present.
Pangilinan: Tanks cannot enter the swampy area inside the encounter
Gen. Galves says they had no knowledge on the tactical level of the mission.
Sen. Poe asks if Gen. Galvez may have advised the troops to wait. Gen. Galvez says he told them this at 2pm.

Espina restates that he asked for reinforcements from the AFP and was chastised for lacking coordination.
SND Gazmin says that he did not give direct orders to the military to reinforce the SAF.
Guerrero: I informed President I already asked 6th ID to provide necessary support on the ground. This was before noon.
Guerrero: The report I received was vague. I only knew about the encounter. We had no clear picture of the encounter itself.
