Maddie's POV
I decide to go get a snack before I go to bed. Hannah is asleep and Justice is walking reruns of the TV show called 'The 100.'
It's 9:30. Normally I would be tired, but I'm fully awake.
Carl is in the kitchen when I go in there.
"Hey, want some icecream?" Carl asks, already fetching me a bowl.
It's almost as if Carl knows my house more than I do. I laugh, thinking about the time me, Justice and Carl were working on our science project and he accidentally fell on his face.
It was hilarious.
"Why are you laughing?" Carl asks, handing me a bowl of icecream.
"Oh, just thinking about, y'know, memories." I say and smile.
"Oh." Carl grins and laughs.
Then we hear a loud bang on the door. Almost the sound.... of someone knocking.
