Chapter 15: Jinx
If you have never been possessed by shadow before, this is practically what happens: Your mind replays all your nightmares and tragic events in your head until you wake up again. It sounds like so much fun doesn’t it? Well at least I don’t know what my body is doing right now. Which could be a good or bad thing. People could either be dying or having a tea party. I don’t like either of those options. If I came back to Brandon, Zeth and Muse having tea and biscuits in the forest, that would be just as mentally scarring as the death of the Anthrofauna. I try to focus my mind, maybe get some of my senses back to see what’s going on. Unfortunately, I cannot. This shadow has trapped the normal part of my subconscious in the back of my brain, like in a cage. But once you get used to it, it’s not that bad. Yes, your body may be killing someone, but you can deal with that later. There’s only one thing bothering me: If the dimensions all turn into Hell, what will happen to the Faithfuls? Will Raiku become Shadow Lord? If so, Zeth and practically everyone alive after this is going to be screwed. Brandon, Muse and Zeth won’t have any trouble disguising themselves among Hell. But for Ursa and I, it’ll be extremely hard. She controls the stars and I’m in charge of keeping nature in check. Just great when your entire world might end up completely obeying destruction. The others will find a way to prevent that...won’t they? I mean, Rithen and Solar are already taken over. Even if Lucenthia goes, Merador needs to stay alive no matter what. In this particular conflict, it’s a good idea to keep the dimension holding life. I’m surprised I’ve been able to think of all of this, as my mind is just fading... Just think happy things...
