Chapter 22: Zeth

He leads me to another elevator, obviously invisible to the residents of Hell. For some reason Satan loves that really annoying elevator music, and pressed a button labelled Level -3 as it played the same tune over and over. By the time we reached our destination I was extremely worried and extremely determined to destroy that elevator. The room looked like an army weapons base, with a high roof and a large figure in the shadows. My father takes away the shadow from the figure to reveal a giant black robot. It was roughly 6 storeys tall, but I’m wondering how much time it took my father (or whoever he hired) to make this.

“You will march to your destiny in this machine.” He says to me. “The centre levels are chambers specifically designed for each element. That way, if your friends try to get in the way, you can imprison them beforehand.”

“And what if I refuse to go through with this?”

“We discussed this before. I will kill your friends. Raiku couldn’t complete the task of morphing all the dimensions, but with our power?” He puts his arm over my shoulders. “We would complete it in no time at all. Just... when you launch this, go dimension at a time. But don’t cause any major damage until you have the rest of the Faithfuls in custody.”

“So...how does it work?”

“You will install the necklace into a panel in the skull of the robot and attach the function system to your body. Once you’re in there you’ll know what I mean. It has have manual and auto-pilot in case you need to fight, and has a monitoring system that detects any form of aurora or magic of any kind. Once you capture someone, the robot will put the prisoner in their corresponding cell that stops their powers. You think you can do that?” I nod. It seems simple enough. Besides, I’ve got too much to worry about that doesn’t involve a robot.

“Great.” He smiles strangely. “Get to work.”
