Chapter 25: Jinx
5 cells sit inside the robot, each with an elemental symbol on the door. They’re made of black steel, but have a certain component I’m not sure of, like it can turn to shadow if it needs to become stealthy.
That’s how they didn’t notice a 6 storey tall robot coming. I think to myself.
Zeth must not be controlling this thing. He’d never turn against us. I walk over to the star symbol door, and take the ribbon gun off my belt. I rigged it with some explosive bullets before I came. As I pull the trigger, the door explodes off its hinges, Ursa sitting in shock.
She gasps. “The ribbon gun! Man, it’s good to see you again!”
I look at her. “Did you seriously not recognise me?”
She gasps again. “Jinx! You come to bust us out!”
“You bet your booty I did. Now get into some battle gear, we need to bust out the others and take this thing down.”
“Whoa...is that like, Anthrofauna armour or something? It’s so cool.”
I smile at the comment. “It’s traditional Anthrofauna battle armour. It’s been sitting on a rack on one of the floors I don’t use.” I look down at myself. I look good. “I added the big bit of fabric on the back of my belt to conceal the ribbon gun. Now, back on topic. Armour. Now.”
Ursa nods, and starts to construct something from stars. A faint blast of light envelops her, and the next thing you know she’s in knee high silver boots and socks, along with short blue pants, a silver armoured corset and long brown gloves. She pulls a massive star bow off her back as I pull a double tipped spear off mine.
“You bust out Brandon, and I’ll get Muse.” Ursa says as she runs to the fire cell.
I take some earth out of a pouch on my belt and make it into a spike as it smashes through the door.
Brandon stares. “Jinx? I thought he’d get you first.”
“Nope. C’mon, we’ve got to get to the head. I’m feeling kind of sore.”
I take the earth spike and smash it through the roof until we can see the head. We use our elements to launch ourselves up to the head, landing super awesomely in a line. Creatures made of shadow surround us, weapons at the ready.
“Jinx!” I familiar voice yells. Zeth. He’s held in restraints on the back wall.
“Oh hi!” I wave before readying my spear at my side.
“Permission to kick ass?” Ursa says, bringing her bow in front of her.
“Permission granted.” I smirk “And I’m helping too.”
