"Are you going to do it or not?"Alric questioned impatiently for the third time.

I have not been able to give him a clear answer as to whether I wanted to do it for Natalie or not. What should I do............ I do not want to do it to prove that I am not a Lonacin but............

"If you let Natalie go, then I will do it. She has nothing to do with this at all." I reasoned, trying to explain.

He does not need to lock up Natalie for my test. This is my thing and Natalie does not need to be in this situation.

Alric stared with his straight dark eyes. "No, you either save her or I crush her along with the cage." He counted firmly.

I do not want to do this, but..........

"Please Alric, I really do not want to do this. Natalie may get hurt along the way. Just let her go and I will take your test." I tried to coax him into giving in, but his stern looking face came up.

"Do it or she dies."

Speechless, I stood blankly, looking at his face. It was so cold that I do not recognise him anymore. He was not the Alric I met in the town.

"Fine."

Alric's face turned into a grin, smiling like the devious Cheshire Cat. "Well then, let's get started. I will carry you up into mid-air and the rest you have to do it on your own." Alric explained, giving the expression that he does not want to repeat again.

"Okay". I agreed.

Natalie, I am coming for you.

Alric went to my back, picking me up by my collar. Soon, he started to swirl the cold and breezy air around him, lifting off with a jump higher than mine.

Together we flew up into the air, ready to start the test. As I reached the level which Natalie was at, she looked concerned, as if she wanted to stop this but does not have the power to. "Well, let us begin."

I shut my eyes, breathing in a large amount of oxygen. "Good luck, Rius."

With that, Alric released me, letting me fall through the silent air. I can do this, I can do this. I just need to do what I done before, believe in myself and everything would be fine.

As I continued falling, I could feel the pressure around me getting tenser every second. I can do this.

"Spread wings !" I yelled, but it didnt work. Nothing happened.

I opened my eyes, looking at my back. Not only did I not sprout my wings, but I am reaching the ground soon. I cannot fly ! I must think of something quick ! Besides flying, I can definitely do something else !

A wide grin broke onto my face as an idea popped out in my brain. This ought to do the trick.

I look towards the ground, which I was about to reach in a few seconds. Hope this works. Wait, it must work.

I concerntrated my mind and syared straight to the ground. I am gonna finish this and prove to him I can "fly".

As I touched the ground, I made a twist of 180° turn, sending myself into the other direction. With my concerntration, I said it one last time.

I can do this ! I strongly pushed myaelf against the hard and cold ground, blasting myself into the air again, flying straight for Natalie.

He never said I cannot do the other "flying".

As I flew passed Alric, I could see his stunned face turning to look at me as I reached for Natalie. "Natalie ! I am coming." I reached for the bars of the cage, holding it tightly as I came into contact with it.

"There ! I reached Natalie. LET HER GO NOW !" I roared towards Alric, who was still shocked in the air.

I stared at him. "You never say I can't 'fly' the other way."
