Simple Day Off

Silver's POV

I got a day off, it's as simple as that. I couldn't say the same for the rivalry between Catra and Adora though, it's only been about a week and i can tell Catra's hurting underneath the authority she's letting others see. Things were tough for Adora when she went to Plumeria, it seemed as though she got someone for the rebellion and i'm happy for them, even though Shadow Weaver almost killed us for letting her destroy one of our machines. Today however, Catra was taking her squadron to Salineas, i was lucky enough to give Bow a heads up without Catra suspecting anything. Scorpia and Catra seem to be getting along.....kinda. Catra feels like she's being robbed of her personal space most of the time, but i can see through that, she needs it yet she refuses to accept it, she drops the subject of Adora every time i bring it up.
I sighed as i entered one of the shower stalls. It was calming that the place was so empty because of the invasion today, normally i hated taking showers but, honestly, i think it'd do me some good to clear my mind. I made sure to set the temperature on the water but hissed when it came on too cold and touched me. Steam started to fill into the room and i went under. All morning i had been training, as much as i'm a Force Captain, i need to stay sharp and focused, if i started slacking off Shadow Weaver would somehow find out. My muscles ached, maybe i pushed myself too hard this morning, i still don't know how Adora did it, normally she'd wake up even earlier than i did and trained till everyone else woke up or something, at least that's what Catra told me. Stars, it was hard getting information out of her sometimes you just had to catch her in a good mood.

Reaching for the soap, i took a side note of how the water trickled through my fur. The water normally takes a while to get me damp enough because of that specific feature and it made taking baths frustrating because i had to stay in the water longer than i really wanted to and the direction of my fur gets messed up. Luckily, i was too tired to even bother about that detail much, I'd just fix it later. Lathering the none scented soap through my fur i came across a sore muscle and scowled, " Just great." I mostly avoided that part of me but, it was messing me up a little so i had no choice but to massage away the pain. I let out a subtle sigh as i managed to mostly work through the pain.

When i was finished with that eventful shower, i looked around the room for a second. Seeing that the coast was clear i went down on all fours and started shaking the water off of my fur, towels messed it up even worse and besides, this place is supposed to be wet. If anybody walked in they'd just be both traumatized and soaked that's all. I mentally chuckled to myself. Everything i knew were mostly based on things i learned before i came to the Horde, the other stuff i learnt snooping around the Horde, both were effective i guess. i stood up and reached for my towel before wrapping myself up and heading to my bunk.

I looked at my bed when i was fully dressed, i had some extra jackets since i hadn't made the modifications yet, i just had to not go all 'spikey cat' with this on. My blanket laid neatly on my bed, something i was used to seeing but an idea came to my mind. i flopped down onto my bed and rolled myself into the blankets. It was so comfy, i felt amazing at that moment, just me, rolled up into my blanket, like those sausages i saw in the other sector. Soon enough, i felt myself drifting to sleep. I let out one mewl before my eyes closed.

*Knock Knock*

" Uggh just come in already!!" I grumbled into the room and flattened my ears against my head, i was still halfway asleep obviously. My tail lazily lashed inside of the Blanket wrap i was in. I would've gotten out but i knew the familiar scent at the door.
" Did i wake you??" Catra asked as the door closed behind her. The noise the door was making was enough to make me hiss. Catra's ears flattened thinking i was hissing at her.
" A little. That door is so damn noisy i hate it." I rocked a little in my cocoon getting comfortable again. She chuckled and smiled.
" I see you're enjoying your little day off, with some naps in cocoons and a shower i'm guessing?" Catra spoke softer now as she sat next to me. I hummed in approval, the soft lull of her voice was making me sleepy again.
" You washed off my scent didn't you?~" She cooed. My ear flicked and i gave it some drowsy thought, i guess i did. She rolled me around in my cocoon. I yelped in surprise. " HEY!! What gives?!" i complained and whimpered.
" Just an idea." The other feline unwrapped me causing me to whine, but she put herself into the blankets and hugged me before rolling ourselves back up. I got what she meant now.
" Isn't that better?" She purred and nuzzled into my neck, scenting me all over again. I purred back getting sleepy again. Her arms wrapped around my figure and her legs intertwined with mine. Catra's tail found mines and hesitated before wrapping around it. She held me even closer and gave small attentive licks everywhere she could reach on my ears. I purred louder and whimpered into her embrace. I really loved the way she gave me attention.
" I, I take it that your day didn't go that well huh? You don't normally come around here unless you need to really see me." I asked drowsily. She stopped her licking and her hold on me slightly shifted.
" Uh...no, it didn't. I got wet involuntarily. Though, i heard that i got a pretty amazing 'Captain yell'." She confessed chuckling. I nuzzled into her blushing and she took that as a signal to continue scenting me.
" I'm gonna admit, i really like the way you scent me so much." I mewled softly.
" Well, you're mine, it's the only way i know to prove that to those other bastards." She purred holding me close again.
The silence was nothing but comfortable as I was left with a rumbling purr emitting from Catra's throat as i slowly drifted asleep again in the crook of her neck.
