[Adora's POV]
I was thinking about going to train with Light Hope later, get my mind straight. But at the moment I was currently sitting at my desk, doing nothing of importance, besides scanning through some news about the other kingdoms and Horde damage.
I heard my bedroom door creak open and a familiar patter of footsteps came through. Tilting my head up, I received a kiss to my cheek and a purr rumbled through the visitor.
"You busy?" Silver asked, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. I sighed but shook my head in response.
Other than the attacks I've been really worried about Glimmer. I don't want to lose her like we lost Queen Angella. The last thing she told me was to take care of each other, and that's what I intend to do. Even if Glimmer is paving her own path now. I feel like a protective mother, sometimes I wonder if it's too much.
"I see a lot's been on your mind." Silver nuzzled closer snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah..." My voice trailed off."Same here honestly." Silver moved to sit in my lap. I held her frame so she wouldn't fall off in any way and waited for her to explain further, if she intended to.
"Listen, we need to talk." Silver looked up at me but a sudden rush of worry blocked every other thought I had before.
"Is it a bad talk?" I asked just in case. The magicat shook her head and smiled.
"It's a good talk. I just have a few things to ask you." I waited for her to compose herself. She looked as though whatever she wanted to tell me, had a lot of importance on her end of it."I love you Adora. With everything I have. I can kiss you from sun-up to sun-down. I never want to be apart from you. You mean so much to me it hurts sometimes." She kissed me briefly and my eyes widened, though she had something else to say.
"D-Do you know what marking is?" Silver's ears drooped slightly. I shook my head and held her closer.
"It's when someone leaves a special mark on their mate or lover. That mark tells every other suitor that you're unavailable and you already have a partner." She explained and I raised an eyebrow. I got the meaning, but why was she bringing this up.
"My point in all this is." She took a deep breath.
"Adora, I want to mark you. It's been tugging my mind for about a week now and I thought it was time I asked you." Oh, that's why."Do you want me to mark you? I mean i-it's your decision, if you want to have a permanent scar that tells everyone that I'm yours and vice versa. I just don't want you to end up regretting it afterwards." I thought for a little bit, looking off to the side. Did I want this? I love Silver with every part of my being. Would I end up regretting it?
"Yes." I stated and looked to her, raising her head to look at me. She had a moment of disbelief.
"I love you with everything I have, Silver. I want you to do it." I brought our foreheads together."Really?" She sounded like she didn't believe what she was hearing.
"This is serious business Adora. It's almost like a sign of commitment." I stayed silent. Commitment...
"It's okay." I whispered out and she smiled.
"You uh...wanna do it now? This is like the first time we've been alone in almost...forever." Silver chuckled a little and I nodded.
"Yeah, it'll be better to do it now." I replied and she stood up and out of my grasp. Silver took my arm and led me to the bed.As I sat down on the bed, the feline went over to one of our drawers and took out a first aid kit.
"Uh...." I said confused."It's gonna bleed. I'd better have these just in case." I nodded at her statement and Played with my fingers nervously.
