[Silver's POV]
"And we just landed ourselves in an ambush....great." I groaned as we stood in a fighting stance.
~One fight later~
I was placing a bandage on my side when I heard Netossa wince. I looked to my left and saw Glimmer looking at us with sympathy. To my right I heard an arrow snap. My ears drooped, poor Adora her strength is too much for that, yet she insisted. She glanced up at the archer, probably hoping he didn't see that.
"Are you all okay?" Glimmer asked.
"Never been better." Bow said before his arrow started malfunctioning, oozing out it's sticky green goo. Adora lifted a pillow to her face, bracing for a messy explosion. Luckily when it did explode, we all braced just in case. When I opened my eyes again I saw Bow's face covered in the goo and Adora's pillow as well, she didn't get much of the splatter."Okay, we've been slightly better." Bow spat out some goo that found its way into his mouth. I brought my tail close to me and wrapped a bandage around the tip, that had embarrassingly lost it's fur due to a blast from a bot. It just seared it off in an instant. Embarrassing. The stupid pink tip underneath made me hiss in anger. I may have tied it too tight and I definitely hissed louder this time.
"How do they keep doing this? No matter where I send you, the Horde always shows up to ruin the mission." Glimmer slammed her fists on the table in frustration when she moved over, "And I'm just sitting here, I--"
"It's okay, Glimmer." Adora put her hand on her shoulder, "Everyone knows you're needed in Bright Moon."
"So, what's the plan now?" Bow added."Did someone say Swift Wind?" A familiar voice drew all the attention in the tent. He tried to poke through the entrance but paused.
"Swift--Hang on." I chuckled. But then he used his horn to slice through the cloth instead.
"Did someone say--?"
"No one said Swift Wind." Glimmer's voice raised.
"But you just did." Reverse psychology, wow. "Anyway, I backtracked down the path the transport was on. It came from the mountains, on the far side of Bright Moon.""That could be where they're keeping the weapon. We have to investigate." Bow said.
"A smaller team will avoid detection." The guard spoke, "Get in and out before the Horde even knows you're there." Glimmer let out a breath.
"I hate sending you guys back out."
"Hey. Whatever it is, we need to destroy it before it's used on innocent people. Right guys?" Adora looked to everyone for support. I nodded.
"Count us in." Netossa agreed as well.
"Darling, your arm." Spinnerella warned.
"Uh-huh? Nice try," Netossa said making her wife sigh." Spinnerella refuses to accept that I busted two more bots than she did, so I'm winning.""There is nothing to win--" Someone cleared their throat causing Spinnerella to get cut off. I turned my attention back to the blonde.
"So, uh, hey, how about we take this conversation to the War Room? We've got a mission to plan." Adora raised a fist."Great. Let's go." Swift Wind cut the drapes as he left and I facepalmed.
~~
We thought of our plan and we were heading out of Bright Moon again, Glimmer being left behind.....Again.
I got on Swift Wind's back, She-ra behind me and Bow behind her. Spinnerella had offered me to come along with them but I didn't want to be a third wheel nor take chances inside a tornado.
"Stay close, and stay quiet." Adora ordered and we all nodded.
We were walking through the woods now, all our guard up. So much that when I heard Netossa speaking I almost jolted out of my skin.
"Just for the record, I'm being way quieter than you--"
