[Silver's POV]
We were back in the cave, I felt bad about running off like that. The rest of the guys almost tackled me to the ground. To the corner of my eye I could see Adora and Catra heaving from their race. I shook my head avoiding all questions and took a seat by the table.
We got some dinner for everyone. The majority of us eating, Adora giving Swift Wind some sugar cubes.
I saw a small guitar in the corner of the room, I recognized it.
"Bow is that yours?" I jabbed a thumb to the crate at the side of the room. He perked up and turned to where I was pointing, beaming proudly in response.
"Yeah, she's a beauty, ain't she?" He smiled and I nodded.
"Can I?" I asked getting up. I needed a distraction, the dream still on my mind and the weight of a war on our shoulders. He nodded giving me permission.
"Let's hope she's better than you, Bow." Glimmer muttered and I chuckled upon catching it.
"I heard that, Glimmer!" I called back, leaning to pick up the instrument. Glimmer made an embarrassed noise and ate quietly, her shoulders tense. Bow made an offended noise and pouted.
Adora just shook her head in disappointment at her friend. Melog napping nearby.
I plucked a few strings and cringed. Out of tune.
"Bow how do you play this thing? It's out of tune." I walked back to the group and tuned it by ear.
"I'm still learning, Silver. I haven't figured out the tuning yet, but I have been practicing my chords." Bow said taking up the plates from the table. I nodded and sat on the ground, leaning on the side of my seat.
Upon finishing my tuning, I strummed a chord and Bow's eyes widened.
"That sounds so different." He commented and I nodded.
"See what I mean?"I plucked several strings, feeling my girlfriends' eyes on me expectantly...I mean, along with everyone else that is.
"Swift Wind taught me a few things, so don't judge me." I said insecurely and Glimmer facepalmed.
I rolled my eyes and plucked a few strings and hummed softly. Starting.
You know I want you,
It's not a secret I try to hide.I know you want me,
So don't keep saying my hands are tied.I caught faint gasps from next to me. I got better since Swift Wind helped. I wrote an entire song but tonight, I kept it simple. Little secret: I always keep the song with me, it's literally in my waistband safe and secure.
You claim it's not in the cards,
And fate is pulling you miles away
Out of reach from meI plucked each string carefully. Getting lost in the music. I closed my eyes and let myself go.
But you're here in my heart
Who can stop me if I decide
You're my destiny? What if we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
Nothing could keep us apart
You were the one I was meant to find
