I'm being honest when I tell you I'm writing this on 3/8/2021, which is wayyyyyy sooner than this chapter should have been written compared to all the others chapters. I just had the idea and needed it on paper...I promise I'll draw her soon!!

[Silver's POV]

Okay 2 more weeks. It's nothing right?! 2 more weeks and the kitten would be here. 

Adora wanted a watermelon. Typical pregnancy cravings. I took Swift Wind with me since it's pretty far to the village. Around 15 - 20 minutes tops.

I really didn't want to leave her, yeah she has Catra to keep her safe but.....the anxiety's plaguing me. But they insisted I needed time away from Adora. Insisted.

We were seconds away from landing in the village when Swift wind's horn lights up, way brighter than usual. 
"Swifty, please tell me everything's fine." I internally panicked.

"Oh yeah everything's fine." I sighed at the response.
"But we got a minor complication. The baby's coming early." Swift Wind announced and my ears pinned back.

"WHAT?!"

"Yeah, OW!" Swift Wind flinched and his horn sparked slightly. The message seemed urgent, loud and painful. 
"She's practically screaming for you to come back. Catra and Glimmer are getting her to the hospital." My eyes drew themselves to slits. 

[3rd person POV]

Silver ran off on all fours towards Bright Moon, without a second thought.
"Wait-- Silver! We should fly back it'll be faster!" Swift Wind called out.
"Do you want me to accidentally claw you if I think we're going too slow?!" Silver shouted back at him.
"No...." Swift Wind gave that a thought as he flew next to her. 
"Then....Then go on ahead without me. Tell them I'll be there. I don't want to take the risk and hurt you." Silver leapt up into the trees and leapt from branch to branch.

"Got it! OW!" His horn sparked again. He closed his eyes and sent a message for his companion.

"AAAHHHH!!" Adora screamed as another wave of contractions hit her once more. 
"Adora, it'll be okay. You said Swift Wind and Silver got the message. They'll be here." Catra rubbed her wife's shoulders. 
"They're two days early!! It's not okay!" Adora said louder than she intended.

"Last time Silver checked they were healthy. Nothing's wrong. Now just try to match my breathing okay?" Catra moved in front of Adora and the blonde nodded, trying to match her wife's breathing. Until suddenly she looked like she'd seen a ghost. 

"Honey, what's wrong?" Catra asked concerned. 
"Swift Wind said they were on their way but...."

"But?"

"Silver's not gonna take the chance to come with him, in other words shredding him to pieces before they get here. She's coming back on foot. She's bound to be late." Adora felt tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. The feline in front of her stayed silent for a few seconds before another contraction hit and she had to console the blonde once again.

"She'll be here. She's fast. But seriously? A watermelon? That's 15- 20 minutes away from here." Catra mildly scolded her wife and got a guilty look in response. 

"Okay! I got your stuff. I'll be out in the waiting room by the time, just send Catra if you need anything." Glimmer walked through the door and the pair nodded. 

"AH SHIT!! THIS FUCKING HURTS!" Adora sobbed and Catra attempted a soft purr to console her at least a little bit.
