AN: Yes, I've named this after one of the imaginary cats in this story and you'll see why near the end. 😁

(Perrie's pov)

People come in, they pet some cats, they order something, they pet some more cats. then they leave.

That's how a day goes for me, or how it should.

Until someone decided to set up a cafe right next to mine!

It's stealing my customers and I will not have it!

If I knew who owned it that is...

I don't though, and I don't want to go in there because it would be rude to leave without buying something and I don't want to contribute to their business but it's so annoying.

I still have a few customers though, so I'm okay, I guess.

(Later on.)

I was bored as no-one was here so I was trying to occupy myself with my phone when the bells on the door jingled, alerting me that someone was here.

I looked up to see a woman standing in the doorway, I gave her a smile as she stepped inside. She smiled back and gosh, her smile was gorgeous.

"Hey. What can I get you?" I asked.

She looked at the menu for a moment before saying.

"A latte and some sponge cake, please."

"Okay." I responded simply, going to get it.

"Wait!" She said quickly.

I turned. "Everything okay?"

"I'm Leigh-Anne Pinnock." She approached me with her hand outstretched, so I shook it.

"Um, Hi. I'm Perrie Edwards. Should I know you?" I asked.

"Oh I own the cafe next to yours." She responded with a cheerful smile.

"Oh, so you're the person that's been stealing my customers." I retorted, leaning against the counter.

(Leigh's pov)

Perrie leant across the counter with a raised eyebrow.

"Am I? Well I didn't mean to I just-" Suddenly a cat came and rubbed against my legs.

"Oh, she likes me!" I exclaimed, delighted.

"Yeah. That's Velvet. She likes everyone. She doesn't seem to understand that this person is my Business Rival." Perrie spoke sternly.

"I mean we don't have to be, we could be friends." I offered.

"Your ruining my business so we kind of do." Perrie growled.

"I'll just go and get you your order so you can leave." She glowered, and turned around to make the coffee.

I ate with Perrie glaring at me from the counter the entire time.

This was a shame, especially as she seemed so nice, and she's so pretty- wait, no. She hates me and I've known her for what? All of five minutes. It would be hopeless  anyway.

After complete silence during the majority of my time there, I was about to leave.

"Guess it was a good idea to come and check out the competition." I attempted a joke and when that was also met with silence, I sighed and stepped outside into the hustle and bustle of the streets again.

(Perrie's pov)

As soon as Leigh-Anne had left I immediately picked up my phone.

There were no customers so it was probably okay to make a call, I'd be closing soon anyway.
