Flowers (Leighade) Part Two

(Leigh's pov)

After Jade was fully healed from the accident I finally got to take her out on the date I promised her.

We decided to go to our favorite coffee place in town.

Once we got there I paid a lot of attention to what type of drink Jade ordered before getting my phone out.

"Um, Leigh. What are you doing?" Jade asked as I opened up my notes and wrote her order down.

"Oh sorry hun. I'm just writing down what you ordered so I know what to order for you at places like these." I explained, and showed her my phone screen.

"Oh." She blushed bright red and tucked her face into her sleeve.

After a bit a waitress delivered our coffee's and I said to Jade "Do you want me to pay?"

"No it's fine, I'll pay. " she smiled.

"No I'll pay, I insist." I spoke, looking directly at Jade.

"You know, as sweet as this is, I'd be quite happy if one of you just payed!" The waitress interjected, with a friendly smile.

Jade burst out laughing and I grinned.

"I'll pay." I spoke to the waitress, getting the correct amount of money out and handing it over to her.

"I like her." Jade spoke out, after she'd finally finished laughing.

I gave her a playful pout.

"Don't worry, I like you more, Leigh." She giggled, knowing what I was hinting at.

"So Jade..." I started, fiddling with the hot drink in front of me.

"Leigh..." she replied, seemingly also nervous.

"What do you do for fun?" I asked. (AN: In this story LM aren't a band. The girls are just best friends.)

"I enjoy singing." She smiled softly at me again and I felt my heart flutter.

"Cool, me too!" I replied.

"Ooh we should song a duet or something sometime!" Jade spoke excitedly.

"That sounds fun!" I smiled.

"Next time, I'm taking you to karaoke." Jade smiled cheekily, and I blushed.

"Right Leigh, what's your favorite food?" Jade asked me.

"NACHOS!" I shouted and Jade laughed, looking startled.

"Oh um sorry." I apologized, not only to her but to everyone around us in the cafe.

"But yeah nachos, I absolutely love them." I smiled. "You?" 

"Lasagna."  She sighed blissfully and I felt my heart my heart flutter again. I silently willed it to stop in case she somehow realized.

"Jade? Do you have any pets?" 

"Nope." She shook her head with a grin. "Perrie keeps saying I should get a dog. I'm perfectly fine with playing with her dog, Hatchi though. I don't have to look after him afterwards." She laughed again and I sighed. I think I've already fallen in love.

"Leigh! Earth to Leigh-Anne!" 

"Hm?" I snapped out of it and shook my head. 

"I was just asking if you had any pets?"

"Oh yeah, two dogs. Harvey and Kyro."

Jade raised an eyebrow.

"You'd love them though!" I reassured her, panicking a bit. "They're so sweet."

"Leigh, I'm joking." Jade chuckled. "I'm sure your dogs are adorable." I smiled.

"Leigh? What in your opinion is the cutest animal?" 

"Ooh a pug." I beamed. "That's the breed that Harvey is, a little pug." Yes I adore dogs. And what about it? 

"You?"

"Ooh I don't know really, probably all animals,, I just love them." Yep I'm swooning I'm in love.

"Jade." This question was a risk. "If you don't mind me asking, who are some of the most important people in your life?"

"Ooh. Well my mam, my dad, my brother, Jesy and Perrie, my future girlfriend-" she gestured towards me.

"Wait, Jade. I'm your what?" 

"Hm?" She looked up.

"I'm your future girlfriend?"

Her cheeks turned red and her eyes widened. "Oh shit..." she mumbled.

"I'm sorry." She apologized profusely "I just was already kind of falling in love with you since I met you and I really hoped it would happen-"

I went over to her and took her hand, making her go quiet.

"Stop Jade. Honestly I've been having similar feelings."

"Really?" She seemed surprised.

"Really." I confirmed.

"Wow." She murmured, standing up.

She looked into my eyes for a moment before pecking my lips.

I blushed bright red and she smiled at me. "That okay?" She whispered.

"Definitely." I grinned. I could get used to that.

Afterwards just before we left she said "I'm looking forwards to our karaoke date!" before standing on her tiptoes and giving me a peck on the cheek.

"See you soon, Leigh!" She chirped, before skipping off.

She's definitely the person I want to have as my "future girlfriend".
