(Jade's pov)

I was walking across the beach path like I try to do each night. It just helps to clear my thoughts and remind me to breathe and appreciate life.

This time though as I walked along, I saw a girl leaning against the wall, staring up at the sky.

I thought she looked really pretty and I found myself staring at her, soon enough though she turned her head and a blush covered my cheeks at being caught.

She just smiled and walked over to me though and when I was close enough to her, I drew in a breath. She really was beautiful.

"Hi" she smiled.

"Um, hi, I-I'm Jade" I stuttered, my cheeks heating up again.

"Nice to meet you -Jeed?" She said sounding slightly confused.

"Oh no, it's J-A-D-E." I explained feeling that familiar blush creep up my neck.

"Oh, Jade! Well it's nice to meet you, Jade. I'm y/n."

"Hi, y/n. Er, sorry for staring at you." I muttered.

"Oh that was no problem, but what were you doing?" She asked letting a small giggle escape her mouth, and I felt my heart flutter.

"Um I just thought you were really beautiful and I was stunned-er sorry again." I whispered under my breath.

"Oh you're cute!" She said "And I never normally have cute, sexy strangers stare at me, while I'm looking at the stars." She said, smirking at me.

"Um thanks, can I, um have your number?" I asked nervously.

"Oh sure!" She said. She gave me my number then looked at her watch and glanced up at me.

"I'm sorry, I have to go, but text me!" She said giving me a wink before walking off.

I just stood there dumbfounded by her for a moment before coming to my senses and walking off in the direction of my home. (The opposite direction sadly.)

I texted her a few days later to ask if we could go out for coffee some day and things just grew from there.

Now we're about to get married and I really couldn't be happier to marry the love of my life!
