Singing In The Rain. (Pesy)

(Jesy's pov)

"Oh Pezza. It seems we can't go on our date after all." I sighed, looking out the window at the rain dripping down to the windowsill.

"Hmm, what baba?" Perrie asked, wrapping her arms around me from behind.

"It's raining." I pouted, turning around in her arms.

She just smiled and kissed me. "Who said we can't go on our date hm?" She beamed.

Perrie had wanted to take me to this new restaurant that had opened a few streets down, however we were going to walk there, until, the clouds turned grey and this happened.

"Well I mean we could drive, it's just I was looking forward to this walk with you." I sighed sadly.

"We don't have to drive." She grinned.

"What? Pezza, what do you mean? It's pouring it down!"

"You're being a little dramatic Jes. Come on, it'll be fun!" She cooed.

"Pezza, we'd both be ill tomorrow."

"Well I don't mind getting ill if I get ill with you." She wrapped me up in her arms again.

I rolled my eyes playfully. "You're so lucky I love you, because honestly, this is such a silly idea."

She just hummed and wrapped her hand in mine. "Let's go then, come on."

"You're an idiot, you know that, right?" I chuckled as she started putting her coat on.

"But I'm your idiot. And you love me." She smirked at me and I laughed. 

"That you are and that I do." I gave her a bright smile as she kissed my forehead.

She grabbed an umbrella as we went outside.

She intertwined our hands and I leant my head on her shoulder.

We were in a comfortable silence when I heard her humming something. 

She started to add in a few words that she remembered to the first verse.

That's when I realized.

She was singing Umbrella.

Then she got to the chorus and she went all in.

"When the sun shines we shine together! Told you I'll be here forever. Said I'll always be your friend. Took an oath I'll stick it out till the end!"

"Pez!" I chuckled. 

"What?" She asked.

She kissed me and then continued singing.

"You can stand under my umbrella. Ella, ella eh eh."

I started to join in, unable to not laugh at how enthusiastic she was.

"I love your voice." I smiled, when we finished the chorus.

"And I love yours." She smiled, poking my cheek.

"Get off, you!" I chuckled, pushing her hand away.

She skipped off along the street and I felt my heart flutter at how cute she was.

"Pezza, wait!" I shouted, running after her.

I threw my arms around her and and she giggled, pulling me into her arms, and pressing a kiss to  my lips.

"I love you." She smiled against my lips and I pulled away and saw how her smile was twinkling.

"I love you more, you dork." I couldn't hold back my grin as she took my hand and continued our walk along the street.

She started to sing again and this time I instantly recognized the song.

It was Singing In The Rain.

"I'm singing in the rain."

She took my hands and smiled. "Dance with me baby!"

She started to dance around on the street and I couldn't have been happier, even with the rain pouring down.

I joined in.

"Just singing in the rain. What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again. I'm laughing at clouds, so dark up above. The sun's in my heart and I'm ready for love."

She stopped then and kissed me softly.

"Know any other songs about rain?" She asked.

'No." I laughed. "But we're here Pez."  

She beamed brightly and took my hand, leading me inside.

And I was right, because the next day we both did end up with bad colds but if I was honest, I couldn't care less.

Because the day before was quite likely the best date I'd ever had, despite the rain.
