(Jade's pov)

I was practically bouncing as I walked into the town square ready for the New Years celebrations.

I pushed through the grumbling crowd hoping to get a good view because, I'm quite short y'know.

I found myself next to a woman about the same height as me.

I took a look at her and god, she was gorgeous.

I couldn't stop myself from staring at her for just a little too long and soon she looked at me, and my cheeks blushed a deep red as she'd just caught me.

"Hey." She chuckled, smiling at me.

"Um, hey." I smiled back awkwardly.

"I'm Leigh- Anne, you?" She stuck out her hand and I took a few seconds to process what she'd just said.

"I'm...Jade." Real smooth Jade,I just forgot my own name, in the presence of this goddess.

I shook her hand and her smile got wider.

I was staring into her eyes and she was staring straight back, when I heard the crowd chant "10, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1!"

And as the ball came down, I just pulled her towards me and kissed her, surprising myself.

I didn't feel her react in any way and when I realized what I'd just done, I pulled away as soon as I could and took off running away from the crowd.

I fumbled through my bag searching for my phone and once I had finally fished it out I almost dropped it in a puddle from the amount that I was shaking.

Suddenly the screen lit up and I sighed in relief when I saw that it was just the person I was considering contacting. Perrie.

"Hey Jade-"

"Perrie!" I yelled, "There's been an emergency!"

"What? Jade, what the hell? I only called to wish you a happy new year!"

"Well, yeah...about that Pez..."

"Jade? What did you do?" She groaned.

"I kissed someone. I was just right next to her and she was so pretty but all I knew was that her name was Leigh, and then I kissed her!"

"Oh gosh. It really does sound you got yourself in quite a bit of trouble Jade. Look, do you wanna come 'round mine?"

"Yes please Pez." I sighed.

"Okay, see you soon. Love you Jade."

"Love you too." I mumbled before hanging up.

I can't believe I managed to make such a huge mistake.

(Leigh's pov)

I walked away from the crowd, pulling my phone out of my pocket, wondering what just happened.

I sighed, opening up my phone contacts,preparing to get yelled at for waking her up in the middle of the night but not really knowing who else to call, I tapped on Jesy's contact.

I heard a groan before I heard. "Right Leigh. What is it? What is possibly so important that you just HAD to wake me up at 10 minutes past midnight?"

"Okay, okay Jes, I'm sorry, but something happened. Something bad."

"Are you hurt?"

"No." Not physically anyway.
