Hiii! So I just want to say thank you in advance to kilimanjoro for the idea! Thank you hun! I actually really  enjoyed writing this.

Disclaimer: I'm not quite sure about age gaps between the girls so we're just going to have Leigh as one year older than Jade here.

Okay now LEGGO!

                                                                                          ####

(Leigh's pov)

Leigh-6 years old.

Jade-5 years old.

I was taken to the  playground of this new school by the extremely chirpy teacher.

"Go and make some friends!" She beamed, pushing me in.

I looked around, feeling nervous, before going and sitting in the sandpit, not noticing the small brunette sitting in the corner.

Suddenly she came up to me.

"Hi, I'm Jade! What's your name?" She smiled.

"Um, I'm Leigh-Anne." I whispered. "And Jeed?"

Jade made a confused face before the teacher supervising us whispered, "Oh, she's Jade."

"Ah, Jade. Sorry."

"It's okay." She smiled again before looking at me with am unreadable expression on her face.

"What?" I asked, feeling self conscious.

"Nothing, you're just really pretty." She blushed.

"Oh thanks! You are too!" I beamed.

That's all I thought it was.

A close friendship from the age of six.

She just happened to play with my hair absentmindedly sometimes when we were sitting together.

And the fact that her eyes were always the most beautiful things I had ever seen.

It didn't mean anything to me. We were just friends.

Leigh 11 years old.

Jade-10 years old.

'What do you want to be when you're older?'

I stared at the question at the top of the sheet, before scribbling down my answer.

"Leigh? What do you want to be? Jade's voice jolted me out of my imagination.

I showed her my sheet. At the top I'd written: Popstar.

"What about you Jadey?" I asked, peering over her shoulder.

At the top of her sheet it said. Astronaut.

She looked at me, a glint of hope in her eyes.

"Do you think I can do it?" She asked quietly.

"Of course Jade. My parents say never give up on your dreams." I smiled at her, seeing her grin back.

"Thanks Leigh-Leigh." She whispered as we went to give our papers to the teacher.

"No problem." I beamed, not sure what I'd done but just happy I could make her happy.

That was a hint. Her being happy meant everything in the world to me. If she was happy, I was happy.
