I'm in first period, sitting behind Styles. I realize I still don't know his first name and it's really awkward.

Mr. Fill stares at the board, working problems.

Before I know it, Styles is turned around, facing me. His arms are on the edge of my desk, and he's staring intently at me.

"I'm sorry." He quietly says.

"For what?" I say, avoiding eye contact and pretending to copy whatever Mr. Fill was writing.

"Making you upset."

I look down at my hands, tangled together in my lap. "It wasn't your fault. I'm just.....I just haven't been able to deal with things lately."

"Like I said, we can talk about it."

I shake my head almost immediately. "I can't talk about that with someone I barely know."

"You know me."

"I don't. I don't know you enough to trust you. I don't trust anyone."

"You can't go through life keeping everything inside."

I sigh and continue to look down at my hands, studying every crease in my skin.

Styles turns back around and faces the board. Maybe he's right, but I can't put my trust in him just yet.

We don't talk for the rest of the class period and are lost in the crowd of students in the hall.

By lunch time, I see Styles alone at a round table. As soon as he spots me, he waves me over.

"How exactly are you keeping your friends away?" I ask, setting my tray down across from him.

"Oh, they think I'm banging you and apparently that's not a really good lunchtime topic."

"Ew."

"So.....are we gonna talk?"

I sigh, "I already told you."

"I know, but.....maybe I can change your mind."

"I doubt that."

"Meet me after school in the front. I wanna take you somewhere."

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"Why not?"

"Like I said, I barely know you."

"That's why I wanna take you. So you can get to know me. So I can get to know you."

"What if I don't want to know you?" I cock my head to the side.

He smirks, "Something tells me that just can't be true."

I smile slightly. "Fine."

We talk for awhile until the bell rings, signaling for us to part.

The rest of the day is crap. I am lucky to get to my locker early at the end of the day. I gather my things and head out to meet Styles.

"Hey." I say as I reach him.

"Ready to go?"

I nod and follow him to his car. He drives to a nearby park. There aren't many kids hanging around, or grow ups for that matter.

We find a nice shady tree and sit.

I look down at the green grass and take some of it between my fingers. I bite my lip as I pull some weeds out of the grass.

I look over to see Styles looking right at me. His eyes are locked on mine and I feel chills go down my spine. I quickly look away.

"Why are we out here?"
