Harry grasps my hand as he pulls me along with him. We receive many weird glances as we walk hand in hand into the building. His sunglasses shielded his eyes, but I could see the smirk plastered on his face.
"ANNA!"
I look over to see Brynn and Natalye walking towards me. "Hey guys! Where're Zayn and Niall?"
"They're with Louis, probably getting drunk again."
We laugh quickly and Harry smirks, pulling me close to him.
Liam appears suddenly next to us. "Dude, I needa talk to you."
Harry untangles himself from me. "What's goin on?"
"Luke just came up to me, talking shit."
As soon as Liam mentions Luke's name, my head pokes around Harry to listen into the conversation.
"Luke?" I ask.
"Hemmings?" Harry asks.
"Who else?" Liam's eyebrows raise slightly, looking down at me.
"Let's talk over here." Harry quickly pushes Liam away, following him.
What is Harry hiding?
I turn back to the confused girls standing in front of me.
"Okay, what's this shit with Luke?" Brynn basically shouts.
"I don't know."
"Do you like him?" Natalye asks.
"What? No! Luke and I aren't even friends. We're more like frenemies or some weird shit like that."
They stare at me, unbelievably. I'm at a loss for words so when I spot Gabbi walking into school, I quickly make an excuse to leave.
I quickly catch up with her. "Hey!"
"Uh.....hey?" She looks confused as I stop her.
"What did Luke say to Liam?"
"How should I know?"
"You seem to know everything." I snap impatiently.
She looks confused as she tries to walk away.
"Luke said something to Liam and now it's a big issue that Harry's trying to hide from me. I need to know what's going on, Gabbi. Tell me!" I desperately plead.
"Why should I? You never bothered to listen before."
"I don't want to believe he's a bad guy, but I need to know if he's hiding things from me."
"You don't need to know." She tries to retreat again, but I quickly stop her.
"Look, you obviously want us to break up for some unknown reason so why wouldn't you wanna tell me?"
"Because you can't know everything, Anna. Besides, it's not my place to tell you."
"I need to know."
"Then ask him." She smirks slightly before walking away, soon meeting Ashton down the hall.
Damn, what is wrong with that bitch?
I quickly go to my locker and collect my things. Harry tried to greet me at the door of our math class, but I casually push past him.
When I finally see his face, a confused expression is spread across it. Annoyance soon follows as I sit down behind Luke.
"Hey," He greets me, as always.
"What'd you say to Liam?"
"What?"
"Luke, I know you said something. Cut the crap."
"Whoah, what's your problem? Are you on your period?"
"LUKE!"
"What?"
"Stop messing with me, okay?"
"I'm not messing with you. It was a simple question."
"It was a stupid question and you seem to not to be able to answer mine."
"Are you calling your own question stupid?"
"Luke! I'm not in the mood. This isn't funny."
"Hey, you started it."
"Started what?"
"Whatever the hell is happening here."
"How did I start it?"
"Because the first day I walked into this class, you decided to be the beautiful girl sitting behind me."
I am finally at a loss for words and I sit there, staring at him. "What?"
"So this whole hoo-rah between me and you.....you started it." He smirks slightly before turning back around.
"What does that mean?"
"Mr. Hemmings, do you and Anna have something you'd like to share with the class?"
I look up at Mr. Fill in shock, sinking in my chair.
"Uh, no sir." Luke answers with clear amusement in his voice.
"Then let's eliminate the talking for today."
Luke gives Mr. Fill and small head nod and he immediately goes back to his lesson plans.
A few moments later, Luke's hand reaches behind him, holding a folded piece of paper. I take it, opening up the creased folds.
"It means that I may like you. You may be my type."
My mouth drops open at the comment. I quickly try to recover before Harry notices, but when I casually try to look over, his eyes are hard on me.
My eyes quickly move back to my noted which are impossible to understand.
The bell interrupts Mr. Fill's stern math lesson. He assigns our bullshit homework, and I walk out of class.
I wait outside for Harry.
"Why was that dumbass talking to you!?" Harry sounds angrier than ever as he grabs my forearm, forcing my feet to move in his direction as he basically drags me down the hallway.
"Harry!"
Before I can speak, Harry presses me against a collection of lockers, towering over me. He obviously doesn't care about the pool of students surrounding us.
"What did he say to you?"
"Harry, I..."
"TELL ME!"
"Why is it so important?"
"I'm gonna kill him, Anna."
"No you're not."
"You can't be friends with him, you understand me?"
"Why Harry? Why is it so important that I stay away from him?"
"Because I fucking said so!" His snappy tone makes me sink.
By now the halls are cleared out with only a few lurking students.
"Did I ever say I was gonna obey your every command?"
"So what? You actually like this kid? You actually want to be friends with him?"
"No! I don't know! It doesn't matter because it has nothing to do with me."
"Listen to me, and listen well." He steps toward me, pressing me back against the lockers. "I don't want you seeing him. I don't want you talking to him. And if he does so much as to look at you in the wrong way, I wanna know."
"Oh please, you sound like my father."
"Stay away from him, Anna." He backs away slowly, keeping his gaze on mine, "Don't make me tell you twice."
Then he disappears around the corner.
