Friday....a week before my birthday to be exact. All I did last night was walk around town until it was late enough to assure that Courtney and Robert were off to bed.

When I got home, I went straight upstairs and locked my bedroom door.

Harry's many attempts to call always ended up going to voicemail or I'd just plainly decline it.

Now I had to face him.

I step into school and make my way to my small locker. When I get to math class, I don't see those big brown curls bouncing in the seat in front of mine. Instead, the curls are not visible at all and a blond haired guy with quiffed hair is taking the space that should be Harry's.

I take a deep breath and take a seat behind him.

"Hi."

I look up to notice the voice came from the foreign guy in front of me. Wow, he has an accent as well. Is EVERYONE foreign nowadays?

"Um.....hi?" I find my greeting comes out as more of a question.

"I'm Luke." He says, giving me a bright smile. I then notice a black lip ring hanging off the edge of his pink lips. Here I go, thinking about lips again.

"Anna." I answer quietly.

"Nice to meet you, Anna."

"Are you new?"

"Just moved here from Australia." He says before smiling cheekily.

"Oh, cool. Well, how are you liking it here so far?" I ask.

He stares into my eyes, "It's alright so far." He smiles and turns back to face the front.

Something tells me his comment was about me.....

When lunch comes, Harry is no where to be seen. Wow.

I eat lunch alone and continue my daily classes.

After school ends, I go home to see Robert and Courtney looking quite overly dressed.

"Um...."

When she notices me, Courtney's eyes go wide. "Hi Anna. Listen, we wanted to apologize for yesterday."

"Yeah, we never meant to offend you." Robert shoots in.

"There's nothing you can say or do to change the fact that you're having a baby. Therefore, there's nothing you can do to make this better." I snap.

"Anna, you're gonna have to deal with this sooner or later."

"Whatever." I mumble while heading upstairs.

"We're going out tonight with some friends! They just moved here and invited us to dinner. You're going." Robert calls.

"Bullshit!"

"They have a son around your age. Anna, you need to make some friends."

"Hell no! I don't need friends."

"You're going. Dress nice."

I groan and slam the door to my room for extra emphasis of just how annoyed I am.

Guess I have to go to family dinner night. What a family...
