My mouth hangs open wide as I stare at the door that was just shut by the supposed ex girlfriend of my boyfriend. What?

It can't be true, but why would she lie about something like that. It's not like she would care if I know.

It just seems so weird. They're totally different. My mind wanders with questions of Harry's so called "dangerous" acts. This is coming from someone who has actually dated him.

I find myself wanting to know more and more by the minute, and I'm unable to breathe as I step back inside the restaurant.

I walk towards my table until I catch Luke's glance in my direction.

He motions for me and I slowly walk over. He stands up and brings me away from his group.

"What'd she say to you?"

"Nothing important." I say quickly.

"Hey," he says, lifting my chin slightly, "you can tell me."

I sigh, "Did you know that Gabbi and Harry dated?"

He nods, "Yes."

"I don't understand how you know him. I thought you just moved here."

"It's complicated, Anna."

"Complicated? I'm confused, Luke. It can't get more complicated than it already is."

"Listen, you just need to calm down."

"Calm down? Everyone's telling me my boyfriend is trouble. I'd like to know what that means."

"You don't need to know, Anna. You just need to listen to us. Trust me."

I let out a small laugh, "Trust you? Why would I?"

"Because I know that there's some part of you that believes that he's trouble. You don't want to believe us, but you do. He's dangerous, Anna."

"Maybe I like dangerous."

He smirks. "Oh sweetie, I don't think we're talking about the same kind of danger." The wickedness in his smirk catches me off guard.

When I finally make my way back to our table, Brynn and Natalye have already started eating. I sigh and take my seat as their curious faces shoot up to glare at me.

"Why were you talking to them?" Brynn curiously looks up at me.

I shrug slightly, "Trying to figure out what their deal is."

"They're insane. That's what their deal is." Natalye speaks, taking a sip of her water.

"Let's just eat."

I eat rather quietly as Natalye and Brynn continue in conversation.

When we're finished, we head back home.

When I get home, Robert and Courtney are already eating dinner.

"Where were you?" Robert asks.

"None of you dipshit business." I say, immediately heading straight for the stairs.

I make sure the slamming door to my room makes and extra loud emphasis.

My phone rings momentarily and I scurry to get it. It's Harry.

"Hi."

"Hey baby." He greets me brightly.

"How was dress shopping?"

I plop down on my bed, staring up at the plain ceiling. "Painful."

I can just see his smirk.

"Did you find something you like?"

I look over to the beautiful dress next to me. "I know you have Brynn and Natalye money. I'm not okay with you buying this for me, Harry. It's way too expensive."

"But you liked it."

"I would've gotten something else."

"I wanted you to like it."

I sigh, "You don't have to spoil me."

"I can tell you're not exactly used to it." He pauses slightly. "You deserve to be spoiled."

I chuckle slightly. "I don't see your evidence in that statement."

He laughs out loud, filling my ears with the delightful sound.

When our amazing phonecall is over, I set my phone on the bedside table. I stare up at the ceiling, think about Harry. He's amazing. He's saved me in so many ways. Without consent, my mind moves to thoughts of what Gabbi and Luke told me. He's dangerous. He's trouble.

Oh what do they know? My mind then moves to the fact that Gabbi used to date him. She knows him better than I do, but there's also a possibility that she could be lying.

I try to drift off to sleep with many failed attempts, but eventually allow my eyes to close.

I don't need to be worrying about negative thoughts about Harry tonight. I like him and he likes me. I just need to leave it like that for now.
