Days pass. Harry and I have been keeping things on a short break. We've both agreed to give each other a little space just not as much space as there used to be. We just need to slow things down. We've only been dating for a month. I fact.....

"Happy one month anniversary!"

I close my locker to see Harry standing there with a bouquet of red roses in his hands.

"Oh Harry, you didn't have to!" I grab the flowers as our lips meet. His lips linger on mine for a while, making this the longest kiss we've had in almost a week. Like I said, we're taking things slow.

"I wanted to." A small smile spreads across his face.

When I say Harry and I are slowing things down, I mean that we are genuinely trying not to rush things too much. When we kiss, it's only a peck. He doesn't sneak through my window at dusk anymore. We haven't had sex in a while. I feel like we're the weird definition of "just friends". But we're not friends. We're in love.

"Harry, you romantic little shit!"

He let's out a beautiful laugh, engulfing me with the wonderful sound.

"I love you baby." His arm snakes around me as we head to first hour.

First hour is boring as usual. Boring work. Boring assignments. Boring homework that I'm not gonna bother to do anyway.

After first hour, my classes seem to be moving faster. That is until I get to English.

"Alright everyone...." The teacher begins. I look over at Harry. What a coincidence that him and I were both moved to the same English class. What a coincidence that Luke and Gabbi are also here. Maybe he requested the switch. He's British. He can do whatever the hell he wants.

"We have an assignment due next Friday. That gives you exactly one week to write an essay about something that has ever made you feel worthless in your life. Dig deep and find that one moment in your life that you thought everything was just completely falling apart and try writing about it. Sharing will be optional."

Great! I have to write a dumbass paper about something that makes me feel worthless. The day my mother died is what comes to my mind. It's the only thing that ever comes to my mind.

"I can't do this." I say, frustrated.

I look over at Harry, sitting down on my bed as I rant about this stupid paper.

"I can't write about her. It's too personal."

"Write about something else."

"No! I don't want that dumbass bitch to know anything about me!"

"Whoah whoah whoah. Calm down, babe." I pace back and forth, trying to find my breath as he watches me. "Come on." He grabs his keys and walks over to me.

"What?"

"Let's go!" He walks right out the door.

"Where are we going?" I follow him downstairs.

He turns to face me. "It's our one month anniversary, Anna. And I haven't been able to really be with you for a week. Let's do something fun."

"Fun?" The words roll off my tongue in a hint of confusion.

"Come on!" He pulls me out the door.

Moments later, we arrive at.........

"The Kart Ranch?"

"You're never too old." He smirks and I roll my eyes.

Before I know it, he grasps my hand, dragging me to the building! We get wristbands, and he takes me over to the go carts.
