Taking Things Slow

After their cuddling, Kade pulled away for a while and told Ross, "Ross, please don't tell anyone yet. I'm... I'm not ready." Ross replied, "Sure, Kade. Also... welcome to your new home! I won't deny this baby you're carrying. You can trust me on that."

Kade smiled at Ross.

He said, "Thanks a lot, gorg'. I love you so damn much." Ross smiled back and replied, "I love you, too, Kade." Ross continued, "Take all the rest you need. I'll continue my gigs and performances. We'll use the money I'll earn for this family we've created."

Kade smiled.

Ross then asked, "Oh, and when are you coming back to your doctor?" Kade replied, "Within next month. And I can't wait for you to meet him. He specializes in trans parents like me." Ross said to him, "That's great! At least we can trust him, no?"

Kade chuckled and nodded.

Later that day, Ross asked Kade what he wants for dinner, since he understood that Kade was going to crave for different types of food during his pregnancy. Ross immediately started cooking for Kade after he answered. They slept together beside Ross' bed in his room after eating their dinner.

The day before Kade's appointment, Ross bought plane tickets for both of them to Los Angeles and back to New York.

Afterwards, Kade and Ross prepared for their flight. They continued on with their day once they finished. Kade and Ross' flight touched down the next day, and both of them made their way to Dr. Scott's office after exiting LAX.

After paying the cab driver when they arrived, both of them proceeded to wait in line at Dr. Scott's office for Kade's appointment.

When a nurse called Kade's name, he and Ross immediately went inside. As they entered, Dr. Scott asked Kade to sit down. Ross brought his hand out and told Dr. Scott, "Nice to meet you, Dr. Scott. My name's Ross McCorkell, and I'm the father of Kade's baby." Dr. Scott nodded and replied, "Nice to meet you, too, Mr. McCorkell."

Dr. Scott spent a few hours interviewing Kade and Ross about the family they created.

When he finished, Dr. Scott said, "Thank you so much again for your time for this appointment, Mr. Gottlieb, Mr. McCorkell. Keep up what you tell me you're doing, and both of you can be sure that your baby would be born in good condition."

Kade and Ross smiled.

Kade replied, "Thank you, too, Doc." Ross added, "We'll see you next month for the next appointment, Doc." Dr. Scott said, "Certainly, Mr. McCorkell. Oh, and Mr. Gottlieb, don't stress yourself too much, OK?"

Kade nodded.

After his appointment with Dr. Scott, Kade asked Ross, "Do you mind if we stay over at my place for a while? I mean, our flight back to New York isn't until three days later." Ross replied, "Sure. We've got enough clothes to last us that long."

So, they made their way to Kade's house.

When they arrived, Ross asked Kade, "Are you OK right now?" Kade nodded. Both of them went inside after that, and Kade laid down on the couch. He said to Ross, "Wake me up when you've cooked, OK?" Ross replied, "Sure, Kade."

Afterwards, Kade took a nap.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Ross said to himself, "What would Kade like this time? I forgot to ask him a while ago." But then, he thought to himself, "I don't wanna wake him up at a time like this. I might make him angry."

So, he decided to make some bacon butty, bangers and mash, and some grilled salmon for both he and Kade to eat.

After cooking, Ross woke Kade up and said, "Dinner's ready." Kade groaned and replied, "Walk me over to the dining table." Ross did what he was told, and he and Kade sat at the dining table.

Then, Ross brought out the food he made.

Kade asked him, "What'd you cook, gorg'? Looks cheap as hell." Ross replied, "Well, this is just a simple taste of Scotland, babe. You might crave for food in different cuisines as time passes by. I hope these foods make you crave. Dig in." Kade yawned and told Ross, "OK."

After their short conversation, both of them started eating Ross' dinner.
