When Fred, Kevin, and Kristian found out about Kade and Ross' situation with Theobald, they immediately offered to help.

Meanwhile, while Theobald was in Cordero's apartment, Cordero took care of him before using cocaine during his nap time.

Five days pass, and Kade and Ross decide to talk to some authorities they know of in New York. During a house meeting, Kade asked, "How do you guys plan on going to the supposed kidnapper's location that they sent?" One officer replied, "Well, we could go undercover and use disguises. Both of you will act to simply go to the suspect's location and hand the money over. When they go to grab the money, all of us will ask them to freeze."

Kade and Ross nodded.

The next day, Kade and Ross unknowingly went to the apartment that Cordero was renting. Kade went up to the doorstep, knocked on the door and said, "We've got the money you want from us. Now hand our baby over."

Cordero opened the door while holding a knife against Theobald's neck.

He then said, "Well, well. If it isn't the bitch who stole Ross from me." Kade was about to take a step closer towards Theobald, but Cordero taunted, "Take one more fucking step, and this baby you have's gonna bleed out of his fucking throat."

So, Kade went down from the doorstep.

Ross asked Cordero, "How could you do this to me and Kade?" Cordero went out of his doorstep and said, "Oh, don't you see, Ross? I love you more than Kade could ever." Ross retorted, "Well, we got you your fucking money. Just fucking give us the damn baby."

Cordero rolled his eyes.

He then said, "Well, a promise is a promise. Here's your ugly-ass baby." After that, Cordero handed Theobald out. Ross was about to take Theobald, but Cordero suddenly stabbed him in the right portion of his stomach. This caused Ross to cry out in pain. Kade yelled out, "Ross!"

Soon after, the police officers who hid all around Cordero's apartment took off their disguises.

One officer yelled, "Freeze! Put the knife down!" Cordero got startled, so he immediately dropped the bloodied knife. Another officer said, "Hand over the infant." So, Cordero gave Theobald back to Kade. Another officer yelled out, "Get down on the ground and put your hands in the air!"

So, Cordero knelt down on the ground and put his hands up.

Another police officer approached Cordero, put him in handcuffs, and said, "Mr. Cordero Zuckerman, you are under arrest. Anything you say can, and will be used against you." Afterwards, the police officers approached Kade and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Gottlieb. We called the paramedics as soon as Mr. McCorkell was stabbed, and they're on their way."

Kade immediately approached Ross.

He told him, "Don't move a muscle, Daddy. Paramedics are coming, OK?" Ross nodded. Kade then kissed Ross' forehead and said soothingly, "Everything's gonna be OK, Daddy." A few minutes later, Cordero was escorted by the police officers to the New York Police Department.

Kade proceeded to call Kristian and asked him to babysit Theobald, to which he agreed with.

When an ambulance arrived, Kade gave Theobald over to Kristian, while Ross was rushed to the hospital. A few hours pass, and a doctor told Kade, "So, Mr. Gottlieb, we've checked Mr. McCorkell, and he was lucky that no internal organ of his was punctured during the stabbing."

Kade breathed out a sigh of relief.

When the doctor allowed him to see Ross, he said, "Thank God you're safe, Daddy." Ross groaned and asked, "Where's Theobald?" Kade replied, "I called Kristian, and he agreed to babysit him at ours while I'm here."
