Mario and Kirby were currently sitting in Mario's, thankfully now repaired, office just staring at the five letters splayed across his desk, trying to come to a decision.

Mario: Hmmmm...

Kirby: I know...Hmmmm...

Mario: *Sigh...* Well there's definitely something to say about this Kirb...I noticed some complaining that it was only five when in the last tournament/game, it was seven.

Kirby: But when you get down to it, only four were totally new...is that what you were going to say?

Mario: Correct, but even if we had four, it would still be incredibly tough. I mean, there's so much on the line when it comes to pleasing fans after Link and Chu's...*Ahem!*...interesting presentation.

Kirby: Well...it might be better this way...think of it like this...because many saw that end as disappointing, that means they have low expectations.

Mario: Hmmmm...very true. Most are guessing that there'll definitely be some Disappointing fighters, like from the new Fire Emblem or Pokemon. Geez...how much of a disaster would that be if we did that...

Kirby: Right...back to the point...because so many have low expectations, it means that any fighters that we add who're at least a step above that, will be considered hype and will get people to buy!

Mario: I guess...well that makes it somewhat easier if anything...but that still doesn't lower it down...

Mario then stood up from his chair and began to make broad proclamations.

Mario: I need the world to hit me with something! A fighter or franchise or even just a singular game that inspires me! Anything will do! Just hit me world! Hit me with the best you got!

It was then, from outside the window, a mysterious figure threw something at Mario from a bush, hitting Mario in the head and causing him to fall to floor.

Mario: OUCH!

Kirby: Oh dear lord! Are you okay, Mario?

Mario: Yeah...I just wish the world wouldn't hit me so hard...

Mario then looks at what "the world" hit him with, finding a PS4 game in his hand...

Mario: "Persona 5"? Isn't this the spin-off of that one franchise from Atlus?

Kirby: Yeah...of Shin Megami Tensai...you ever played it?

Mario: No...I don't tend to play games on Playstation...obviously.

Kirby: Obviously...well...I have.

Mario: Right, you play like...every game that comes out.

Kirby: Any chance to make new friends!

Mario: Well...what's the game like?

Kirby: Why don't you try it for yourself?

Mario: Alright then...I will.

100+ Hours Later...

Kirby: Well?

Mario: *Turns head* I love it.

Kirby: *Smiles* So we getting someone from it in this game?

Mario: Well...I'm not really sure...I mean...*Looks down* *holds up controller*

Kirby: You're worried about the major difference in platform?

Mario: Not really, I mean between Snake and Cloud, it clearly doesn't stop us from doing anything.
I was more so referring to the fact that all Persona games are on Playstation while the two I mentioned had titles in their series on Nintendo platforms as far back as the NES and we really don't have Persona games exclusive to Nintendo platforms.

Kirby: See this is why I'm in charge of keeping track of things because we have on 3DS and one of them even features the main cast from this game!

Mario: Ah...Kirby, you wonderful puffball you! Figuring out the loopholes and all! Alright then! Let's contact the main character then! What was his name again? Akira...Mama Mia...or something like that?

Kirby: He goes by a few different names, but I suggest we just make it easy and just call him Joker.

Mario: Alright then, Joker it is. We should get to sending him his letter soon!

Kirby: Right now?

Mario: Yeah, strike while the iron's hot and all that and Smash Ultimate itself has just gone gold, so why not!

Kirby: But Mario! We have no directs planned for December and we still have the legitimate worry of information leaking out ahead of time!

Mario then put a hand to his chin and began to think about what his friend had said...about how much trouble leaks like the ESRB Leak and, of course, the infamous Grinch Leak had caused him before and how that they seemed to have no platform to announce this, outside of maybe a random drop, which he liked to do sometimes.
He thought long and hard until finally he had an answer.

Mario: A-ha! *Snaps.* Got it! The Game Awards!

Kirby: The...Game Awards?

Mario: Yeah, the Game Awards! You know...that gaming award show. Hosted by that one guy...I think his name was...Greg...or something like that?

Kirby: Oh yeah...Link usually takes care of those arrangements, doesn't he?

Mario: Well, not this year. This year, I'll take care of the arrangements!

Kirby: You'd still.have to deal with potential leaks though.

Mario: Don't worry, we can take our time since it's still a month away...question for you though, do you still have those voice changers?

Author's notes: So this did take a while, but when you're working multiple chapters at once, it will inevitability take a while.

Who was that mystery person? You'll find out a little later...but as for Persona 5 itself (which I first got into thanks to that Relaxalax video at the top), I do think it's a really good game...if a bit overrated and it has a TERRIBLE fanbase...but that is neither here nor there.

But aside from that, not much to say here just a lot of discussion before we meet the leader of the Phantom Theives himself, which we will...next time!
