Our story begins with 4 gaming stars leaving a building after they've finished up filming something. This is of course Mario, Link, and 2 Inklings named Orange and Blue.
Mario: Ya hooo! *Jumps up* Another Nintendo Direct successfully filmed!
Link: No kidding! Always glad to finish those!
Mario: Speaking of finishing, Orange! Blue! You two did very well this time!
Orange: Thanks Mario...
Blue: Sis...you're blushing...
Orange: Sorry...these presentations still make me incredibly nervous...
Mario: Well you did a very good job this time!
Link: I think you may have even done a better job at it than me! (Not that its saying much...)
Orange: Awwww...thanks guys!
Mario: Your welcome! Anyways, where do you all want to go now? Any particular place you want to go for dinner? I'll buy!
Just as everyone was about to offer suggestions...the sky suddenly darkened...
Link: Hey! Why'd it get dark out all of a sudden? I get that it's night, but its usually not this dark out!

As Orange looks up into the sky, she is suddenly shocked by a bright light, the others look to where she's looking and are also just as shocked. Meanwhile...in another part of the city...
Kirby: Welp, we're done here! Let's head off now and meet up with our friends already!
Pikachu: Finally! I can't wait to see Link again! Anyways, I still can't believe you got back Marx of all people for your latest game.
Kirby: Well, there's actually an interesting story behind that, Chu. You see...
Before Kirby could answer, it suddenly goes dark for them as well.
Kirby: Hey! Chu! A little light please!

Just as Kirby was about to answer, a bright light appears in the sky and they turn their attention towards it. Now shocked...
Soon everyone in the city was looking up at the light in the sky, everyone from the big dogs like Master Chief and Kratos to the third party mascots like Sonic and Mega Man were all staring up at the light in the sky...
And what was this light...you should know, but alright I'll show it anyways...
