Now back at HQ, Mario and company are attempting to figure out what to do with the letters they've received and the Smashlord's requests...

Mario: Hmmmm...2 main fighters, 3 echo fighters, and all this other stuff...all within three days...this gonna be tough!

Link: Well, at the very least you don't need to worry about Assist Trophies and Pokeballs. Me and Chu got you covered.

Pikachu: Plus the Smashlord was nice enough to write out everything else he wishes you two to talk about.

Kirby: Yes, that's all well and good, but I think what Mario here was referring to in particular is choosing the new characters, there's a lot to pick from!

Link: Very true. I guess the only way to solve this is putting our heads together.

Pikachu: Maybe we could get some third-parties.

Mario: Thanks for the help guys, but when it comes to choosing, I'm not quite sure we have total free reign here, at least in terms of getting third-parties involved.

Kirby: Mario's right. Its possible if DLC is allowed this time we can go a bit more gung-ho on third-parties, but for now at most I can see at most one full-on.

Mario: Right. In terms of echo fighters though, we could probably get as many as we want.

Kirby: Now let's not get too crazy, right Link? Link?

Link: Hmmmm? Sorry me and Chu were just discussing who we were going to invite as Assist Trophies and Pokeballs. So you'll take care of at least one Assist Trophy and I'll take care of one Pokeball?

Pikachu: Right, we suprise each other by picking one out and believe me Linky boy, I have got a special surprise for you.

Link: Same here old buddy. Man, there's so many to choose from this time. Especially considering that Konami is back in the game!

Mario: Konami? Hmmmm?

Kirby: What's up Mario?

Mario: Well, Link just mentioned Konami. They did let Snake back, so clearly despite their...difficulties...they are still on board with this game.

Kirby: So you're thinking about heading over there?

Mario: Just an idea.

Kirby: But a good one I'd say. Let's do it!

Mario: Okay then. Let's see if we can get someone real juicy.

Link: What was that about juice? Sorry, I just started listening again.

Mario: Oh what we were saying is we're going off on a "business trip." So, you may have another possible Assist Trophy candidate by the time were back.

Link: Oooooo! I'll be looking forward to it!

Pikachu: In the meantime, I was thinking we add Marshadow as a Pokeball...

Link: Oh! Good choice!

While Link and Pikachu continue their conversation, Mario and Kirby head upstairs to room #31, Solid Snake's room.

Kirby: *Knocks door.* Hello? Solidus?

Snake: *Opens door.* Wrong Snake, but come in.

Mario: Thank you. Anyways, we have some business to discuss Liquid.

Snake:...that one was on purpose.

Mario: Maybe. So we've come to talk about...your company...

Snake: !!!
